A few years back mine was running and it was 80° in the house. Low on freon...two other times, the fan would blow but burned relay switches from the constant running.
NOW knowing I need a new unit is just another hurdle of being a home owner.
I have reached my decision and getting a 4 ton Amana ordered for installation next week. It has a life time warranty on the compressor, ten years for parts, two years for check ups and labor. The power company is also offering a rebate currently of $275.00 that is taken off the bill. $5400.00 is a lot better price and the warrenty is great so I am going with this guy. Know him and his honest reputation on the coast. We also happen to attend the same church. He runs a small ad in our church bullentin and gave me another $100.00 off of the full price.
The heat pump is a 15 Seer so the reduction in the power bill should be reduced. ...
Okay...back to scrubbing out the pantry refrigerator. I think the science projects are ready for disposal.

ticket items I am going to give them a work out.... I prefer to pass the sales man and go straight to the owner. It has always rewarded me with better prices.
I have enjoyed the experience and feel good about the deal, can stay cool in the summer, warm in the winter and save on the power bill.

First let me say that Gayle is good at not fallening asleep before the prayers are begun. Praying is relaxing and brings you to a state of peace. Rest is good and your need was taken care of during your time of need.
Sheza and Sparkie....I do feel good and also confident all the way around on the decision. It feels great that it is behind me without me getting all those high anxiety moments. 
Yes...John and his family go to the same church and even though his business slipped my mind....the church bulletin was on the coffee table just as I started my price search. His ad caught my eye so I called him. He transferred from the same church I had when I moved to this house in 2007 placing us in the same church again.

 Good Sunday morning!
Fire works are banned in the city limits except on the beaches...BUT that does not stop them on the adjoining hood across the highway. Had to tolerate huge booms off and on until midnight. Watch some pretty sights on my back porch but the big booms I dislike.
It was a nice day....grilled BBQ ribs and salads with a few friends. Low key but nice.
Sankie, hope you stay high and dry today.

It's the Day! New AC unit will be installed this morning...starting at 8 AM. You might know it is going to feel like an August miserable Dog Day of summer. In the 90's, extremely high humidity and no cool breeze stirring.
I may end up sitting in the car with the AC blowing to breath a cool breath of air.
I am ready for a break in more ways than one....the more I do the more I see to do. Never ending story.

Was starting to feel grouchy from the heat but thank goodness the installation on the new AC unit has been completed and the cool air is flowing. The feel like temp is currently 100° and my house has cooled down to 78° quickly. Wonderful!!!!

The two men were great on keeping the cool air inside until close to noon. They were fast and professional.
Fish, I have ten years on the compressor, ten years on any parts and two years on labor. John said for me not to worry that he would take care of me with this unit. ........Good news! 'Cause I cannot take this heat and humidity. I am very fortunate that our paths crossed again at church. Guess an Angel is taking Care to put me in the right place at the right time.

The Kindle charger is not making a good connection....thus dead battery.
The AC ran continuously for two hours so I called about that incident.
checking out my warrenty already. The thermostat was faulty. Another one was installed and up and cooling nicely.
Can you believe that??

Dont you luv new things that dont work. Argh! Bad night. Dog started limping on front leg yesterday. Got her outside late but wouldnt do potty. Bad night. Up half of it. Gave her her 3 pain tabs in am. Forced her out and no go again. Called vet..went into town and she is back on antibiotics. He said maybe wasnt long enough. Got home and she went out and did both. Pain meds must have kicked in. Only other thing to do is xray and check for tumors or something. And then what? Surgery at her age? And what would be the cost. sigh..why does this crap happen every year in the week of the big car show. Now Joe called and said if I dont want to do Friday, he can go alone Thursday. And I figure Thursday to see how she is doing. Should just go lock my self in the closet and say to hell with everything.

Was grouchy yesterday morning. Woke, fixed coffee, went to the sunroom. Noticed the dog next door was laying out in the rain again and with his paws over his head trying to get shelter. He's tied to a chain big enough to hold logs. Went out in the rain and YEP, his chain was wound around two trees. I unwrapped him for the second time in a week so he could get out of the rain. Last night heard neighbor outside so I went over for a little talk. I asked if there wasn't something that could be done about the chain so the dog would not tangle himself like that. Guy was very nice about it and said he'd move the dog to another place away from the trees. So, hope that helped. I was about ready to call the humane society because nothing deserves to be treated like that.

Sankie...your neighbor's pup is lucky to have you as a friend. I hate seeing a pup chained up like that.
Enjoying the cool inside but must venture out to my annual wellness checkup with my primary doctor. The lab work should be complete so will get those results to renew meds. Always wonder what else will be ordered. Time for the CT scan too so know it will be ordered.
Oh well....I just call these trips my social life.

Shar yes I do believe it about the thermostat, nothing is made of quality these days. Seems these guys come out here much too often too and as far as warranty NOW they tell me its for the outside unit and only if a part needs replaced. OH?? then how come they replaced a part and I had to pay over $200 for it? he said that wasnt covered.
Told him that was BS and I wrote the Coleman company that makes these things with all the dates theyve been out and problems with unit. Told them it was a piece of crap and I shouldnt have to pay for shoddy materials.
never heard back from Coleman... so that tells me they dont give a rats patoot... they got their money on another product sold. 
All is working fine but, Im not going to shout that out loud and jinx myself 
Hopefully yours will continue to work with no further problems
My grouch for today? I couldnt fall asleep last night was well after 2AM and I have things to do and no Ummpfff to do it.

Went to the fruit market to check for June Apples. $50 a bushel and green as a gourd. These apples are very delicate and will bruise easily so they are picked very green. Never develops the taste they should have even after turning the transparent color if picked so green. UGH

Wellness benefits!!! A BIG LOL....
Thyroid is worse...more med increase.
CT scan and Mammogram needed.
Bad Cholesterol sky high.
Low sodium...INCREASE Gatorade and add a bit more salt in my diet.
Dermatolgist being scheduled for a few little brown spots.
A bladder infection....
Now a trip to pick up more meds.
It could be worse so I'll just call it a new overhaul....
Glad the pup bouncedback Orz.
Sankie...I am still ticked off at getting a green under ripe watermelon. Fruits are starting to taste watery with little flavor.

Worrying about teen grand daughters. The oldest is 5'6" and down to 117 lbs. Eats so little she is dizzy and sleeps all the time. Used to run, rollerblade, work out. Now just wants to sleep. We talk and she knows nutrition better than 99% of adults I know but no matter how much she knows, she starves herself cuz she is fat. Oh yea, she is in counseling.... 13 year old (other mother) is doing a lot of the same. Youngest daughter is a basket case due to bad marriage. I can't take much more. I am starting to feel that it is OK to quit fighting and just kinda give up. My leg is a piece of shit that won't completely heal. Can't do much or go too far. Last GF dumped me hard cuz I spent too much time with grandkids. WTF kind of a life is this? BAH.

Bub I totally understand your concern. My daughter went through a divorce and the grandchildren are teens; there are many issues. Talking with my sister about it she told me one day it dawned on her that she never saw OUR Grandmother fretting over the lives of her six children and Lord knows the dynamics of their adult life …… including my Mom, married “FOUR” times!!! Point being, I think she just knew how to pray for us all and she was able to turn loose of the worry and used her energy to just love us and pray for us. I wish she could have lived to see her oldest son come to Christ when he was in his 70’s. It isn’t to say they (we) didn’t fall on some really hard times, we all have BUT we have come out on the other side and we just need to hold the faith that it will work out in the big picture of things and accept that we might not be on this earth to see it. Seems we all come round full circle.
Pray, love ‘em and give them to the Lord and let go. 
oh and I totally feel if it wasn't for my grandmothers prayers I would not be where I am today. Don't underestimate your love and prayers for them.

Absolutely no reson to grouch. Sudden storms boiled up with vefy high winds. Weather sirens screaming, weather radio blasting "take cover now", winds up to 80 MPH. WELL, I got lucky. Storm went north a few miles and missed me altogeter. Electric lines down all over the place. SO NO GROUCH.

I hate bad dreams!
Had me an awful time in my sleep trying to hide in a grocery store on the bottom shelf of a Campbell's Soup Isle from a crazy unseen person in the store shooting gun fire.
Good grief it was detailed and scary as hell. I woke up at 2:30 AM and
felt paralyzed with fear.
Needless to say there was no sleeping after that.
It may be a grouchy day.

~ ~ That is scary  ...... if you were packin' your own the ending could have been different. Joking ....... (NOT trying to get political here.) But this year I've had a few scary dreams and I don't normally have bad dreams that shake me. I hope you are able to shake it .... spike your coffee this morning.

Heck, trying to hide in the Campbell's soup isle would be scary enough without having a crazy running loose. No wonder you were upset.
Minions talking dirty in McDonalds Happy Meals. Plenty of people grouching about that.
