Yes..it was Kanedog...nice man..I didn't mean to leave you all dangling..but the posts that followed were indeed "priceless"
I scratched another thing off my bucket list today..I tried paddle boarding...I did quite well...after I flipped off the board the first try... Good thing the water temp was warm..some people staying at the resort had one and the woman coached me through it...it was fun...but it took me awhile to steady my feet while standing up...the water was a bit choppy this evening...Good times..
It was a nice...sunny day..so I stayed put and had a relaxing day at the beach...got some reading in...too..
Looks like I'll meet someone on my way back home...this guy kept me company(on the phone) while I was down in Florida last fall...now he has decided to chat again...so what the heck...he's right on my way back home...
And No...It's not anyone from DH...

Well it was sunny when I woke up..now it's raining...seen a beautiful rainbow over the bay as the rain approached us...think I'll recheck the radar and see if it's worth heading down to Frankfort..

oh cool  .......... my new coffee maker signals a low beeping when my coffee is ready. I am simply entertained.
For now I am running a few pots of water through the new coffee maker before I brew coffee. As I posted in the morning thread for grins I hit the 'on' button on my old coffee maker because it was sitting there still ready to brew from yesterday and low-and-behold it worked. But since it isn't reliable I don't think I'll return the new one but take the old one to Goodwill or the Mission House. That old Mr. Coffee is a mental abuser  ... you'll have fresh coffee, no you won't, yes you will, no you won't .... to the curb!!
I guess that is about all the excitement I have in my life these days.

Good Friday morning to you! Glad you have a pot....and a window to throw it out of....
Sure most can read between the lines there.
I have been thinking I need to pick up a new one with the timer on it so my coffee is ready when I roll out of bed. Numerous digits are out on the clock for setting it correctly.
with quick power outages it has to be set strictly by guess work.
Happy you are back in business with the new coffee maker.

Ended up not going to the Steam Show. Might Sunday. Joe woke me around 6-7..time to get up. I said was up at 2 am and 5 am!! Next I knew it was 8am. We must have both fallen back asleep. So..I am nice..get up, take out dog, put on makeup, do hair...then go wake him..it is almost 9am. AND he says...I dont feel like going..you go. ARGH!!!  BUT..am I a b*tch. Do I scream and yell. Tell him go home then? Nope. undress and crawl back into bed..if you dont go, I am not going then. And fall back to sleep. MEN!
Today I go to the Crystal Grand for the Stand Rock Indian Ceremonial Reawakening. Redux of the old shows they used to do up river long ago. See the displays and arts prior. It is combining history via the photographer who did lots in the Dells area long ago and the dancers. Crossing fingers it is not a lecture of boredom with little dancing. I assume they will all be fancy dancers.

Ok how weird is this?
I HATE Avocado yet yesterday I bought a Mexican sandwich that had not only jalapeno on it, another thing I dont eat unless its ground up in something AND Avocado slices.
I thought OK just eat the dang thing.. it was GOOD! I pulled out the remaining piece of Avocado and ate it plain and I liked it. Guess my taste buds changed
so now I will be buying some to add to sandwiches and salads. I still dont like green peas though  YUCK!

I love avocado. I buy the round wheat thins, toast, add cucumber, lettuce...Romaine, tomatoes and avocado splashed with vinegar and olive oil. Yummy! Delicious, healthy and low calories. I use avocado in salads too. Another favorite is crackers spread with hummus and a hunk of avocado. Also great with any Mexican foods.

Im sure I can find one, its basically garbanzo beans as the base, salt and olive oil. Then just add the avocado and whirl it in a food processor is my guess.
will check around and may try to make it one day.

In California Avacados grew on trees and every body had one. Always had plenty to eat and ate plenty.
Imagine my surprise when I moved to Missouri and they were $1 a piece

The sudden realization that taste has changed is surprising when it happens. I felt that way about broccoli then one evening was at another's house for dinner. They had brocolli casserole and it looked good so I tried it. Yummy. As for the humus in place of mayo I'm going to try that. Lime on avacada's, that sounds interesting because I do like avacado's. Thanks for the tips.

I used Chopped Red Pepper with dried tomato hummus and added one small mashed avocado today and spread heavy on the round wheat grain bread. It was excellent with the thin slices of pork loin and veghies for a Dagwood sandwich.

Enjoyed the show of Indian dancing Staturday.. But very Hollywood. All Fancy dancers and lame and yarn fringe...sigh.
Enjoyed the steam show Sunday. But, couldnt get into the womens museum building. Sorry..that old kitchen, and 50 school room display...I am STILL USING THE STUFF! lol.

sooooooo tired..when will this feeling stop? I slept well, didnt over do anything today but gosh I cant stand this being tired all the time. 
Take thyroid meds Dr says, you should feel better.. Oh? When, been on them since April!
my ankles are swollen, not good but not eating salt and trying not to eat lots of sodium filled foods.. one of my BP meds is a diuretic so, now what?
I go to Dr in Oct but may have to go in sooner.. this aint right
Hope you all had a good day, guess this should have went in the grouch thread.. oh well, just pretend.. Im not repeating it

Orz...my last husband won all sorts of awards for dancing when he was in boy scouts. He also performed several times on TV and at various business events. He took then taught Folkloric Ballet.
Fishy, it seems the older we get the tireder we get....I'm down to a four hour day with plenty of breaks What used to take me 30 minutes now takes several hours....but I do still get it done with a lot of huffing and puffing Ambition is there, energy went by the wayside  But they say if you don't use it you lose it
Point in case.....I've not had someone in my bed for quite a while..............Although I understand that's like riding a bicycle...................

Fish, double up on water and put you a Gatorade a day into your diet.
My sister depleted her potassium and was tired and finally got so bad she was passing out from the diuretic in her BP medicine. Yes....see the doctor and be safe. Hope you feel better soon.
Hang in there Gayle. You need a dancing outting.
I feel worn out but with this heat and mental anxiety pulling me down I am not surprised.
I keep on moving though, and hope to continue for many more years.
Be glad when someone echo's or has a grouch. Seems I am boxed in since being pushed to the bottom of the page by the thread runner.

Ive got a gator aide here for when I get too hot and sweat too much.. lots of sugar in them though, wow!
I keep a water bottle by my side, got one with me now.. probably just need to make it a point to drink even more. Guess I can bring the gator aide to work tomorrow too with my big water bottle and see if that works.
