well Im just a bad azz.. I have a tiny lump on a finger that looks like a BB.. so told the 'boyz' at work I got shot with a BB gun.
One kid said, WHO SHOT YOU????????
I said, not sure it happened so fast but I caught that thing in mid air.
the look on their faces was hysterical, like Im some super hero
really not sure what it is but its a hard tiny lump.. weird
That's hilarious ~ catching it in mid-air!!!
~ Wow what a beautiful morning it is after a hellish thunderstorm last night. It even woke me up to the point it was hard to sleep and I normally sleep right through them.
~ 75* sun is shinning, partly cloudy and a day to spend some time with friends.
~ Lunch with Jerseygirl (Jerseygal and I forget her other DH names) she lives here in town and we meet up ever so often. Need to pick up a few pots to plant a few plants and then later meeting up at Biker church to join in on making hunger bags then cookout and a Christian concert.
~ I slept in and just now having my first cup of coffee and bacon is on the stove.
Whatever you do I hope it's awesome !!

Sheza, the Christian Concert sounds so nice. Wish I was there because I really enjoy the music.
Fishy, grabbing a BB from the air is hiliarous. Bet those Boyz didn't know how to react to that one. They think you're too crazy to mess with so they're good while in your company. Question: If there is one who defies all rules, has worn an ankle bracelet, and then violated parole what do they usually do with them. There is one here that is defiant to the last and needs to have his head knocked in. Just trouble ahead for him and he's just 16. Noone can get through. It's a shame because one can see his future written on the wall.

well here cutting off an ankle monitor is a violation of probation. They get to stay with us for a few more days. Not sure what his charges are but cant be anything too violent or he wouldnt have gone home, least not in this county.
What they can do is send him to a program for 6-9 months for juveniles... but I still say those programs only work for kids that WANT to change. Seen many repeaters here that spent time in programs.
Murderers or those with violent felony charges can be tried as an adult in the state of FL beginning at the age of 14. We have 22 kids waiting for their 18th birthday to come so they can be sent to prison. Ive known most of these kids for years coming up the ranks. Yet I still get hugs and respect.
These are the kids I was telling that story too.. they just dont know WHAT to think about me

meant to add, they are behind plexi glass of sorts even the adult population is behind them. But this is county so they are only there for a few months. Adults do laundry, mow lawns, cook the meals, go out and work at animal control or cleaning street garbage. Everyone works.

The tourist trap of the Dells hires in tons of J1 students from foreign countries. The other day 3 Jamaicans were bicycling down the sidewalk. 2 got ahead. Third saw two Uzbekistan guys blocking way. Tried to stop via feet cause hand holding phone..cant grab brake. They turn and stand in way. He gets passed hitting one. They yell, yank on his backpack. He gets away. Meets up with other two Jamaicans. Tells them. They tell him need t confront..cant do that just cause he is black. Nah...so go to Walmart and idiot points the two Uz out..there too. So two buds say have to confront. They got into it and ended up one Jam pulled a knife and stabbed one Uz. Then took off. Kid air meded to Madison to stitch up.Cops got knife kid, then other two Jams turned themselves in. End result is maybe 15 years in pen, 50K fine and more for stabber. Hope he WANTED to remain in the States. Not surprised. The Dells mixes up 15 countries that have different laws and rules and it is a wonder not more incidents. Bet those kids parents will just be thrilled.

~ Speaking of college, football season is here. So far I have not watched any games. The buzz at work is all about the games and students are back in town. I was at Target yesterday and you easily spot the roommates getting things for their places or grocery shopping.

Fishy, the kid I was speaking of is simply hard headed, no interest in anything of value, and to him the world is a joke and there for his benefit only. Don't think at this point there is much that will help him unless it's someone bigger and badder than him and also someone who doesn't care about what is legal or not. Have one of them beat the crap out of him may be the only thing that works. Sad to say, but just trouble in the making.
Orz, guess the old practice of not taking a dare still is active. Why feel the need for confrontation but those guys weren't as big and bad as they thought. Always someone worse than you regardless of the situation.

I understand sankie and its such a shame that some adults are the same way
Well my lab was out barking at a tree.. thought shes gone crazy so I finally went out there. couldnt see anything then, there it was hiding under the branches and those mother in law tongue plants... a little possom.. SO cute!!!
so had to call sheriffs dept since they do animal control to get it. Its been out there at LEAST 5 hrs.. guy was at my house less than 20 min after I called an the little booger was no where to be found.
I apologized to the guy for coming out for nothing but he was OK with it and told me if it comes back just to call again. We looked under other branches and nooks and crannies. GONE.
5 hrs ? he could have waited another 20 minutes and brought to a safe place.
the officer did tell me as long as it wasnt sick he would release him. I said I HOPE so.
such a cutie.. the possom, not the cop, though he wasnt bad either

I have one answer to possum..same as coons.. Egg sucking, chicken killing basturds.
A school down by Madison area got shut down..all schools in Deforest area. Someone made a threat to pull a shooting deal. They ended up finding two boys guilty of it. One had MADE a shotgun...so much for gun control. The other had made a pipe bomb. Both are now out with monitoring bracelets. Let me guess..we are gonna be cool and we dont want to start school before the holiday. We need to bring back the old ways. NO gaming..no computer. And there is the woodshed. You are NOT special..you will not be pampered from cradle to 40!

this is a residential neighborhood so no chickens or other farm animals. I could never bring myself to shoot anything, just relocate back to the woods. Not even sure why it was here since theres no garbage, foods or any live stock around.

My ex took the the dog for a walk one time. The dog caught a baby ground hog.
He wouldn't let it go. Walked all the way back home with it in his mouth.
It didn't survive. I've had them dig under my back porch. One is living under my garage.
I sure wish I lived in the country.

I had a dog once part Chow, pekinese and puli I believe.. looked like a pup its whole life, just a tiny gal but looked like a mini red chow. SWEETEST dog ever!
this one is a golden and lab retriever. Just glad she didnt retrieve it and left it there. I KNEW I should have got the cat carrier and gloves I could have swooped it up with a rake I bet! Most that know me know Im an animal lover and would help the poor thing. Ive caught gator turtles that looked more dangerous an released them to the lakes.
Hope you have a great day, Im going to figure out my dream of being pregnant... kept telling myself it was gas.. nothing there to hold or make a baby so it was weird or a miracle?
nahhhh Im sticking with weird

FISHY'S PREGGERS ???????
~ I have a fondness with animals too. I like to think I'm pretty good with them. I was with my grandchildren when a duck got tangles up in a fishing line at the pond across from the house. They were all eyes when Nana was able to help free it. Got a towel to toss over the duck to keep it from fighting back and then was able to detangled it without it getting cut up. At a period in my life I use to hang out at a veterinarians office and picked up a few tips.

Possum's are like squirrels. No telling where they will wander. Found one beneath my house one time. Tried to scoop it up in a shovel and toss outside. Thing curled into a ball and I could have moved a refrigerator easier than getting that thing out of the crawl space. Also, laughing about being with a friend one time and on a small country road. In the middle of the road sat a dry land turtle. Friend stopped the truck, got out and removed it from the road. Got back in the truck feeling good about his deed and grinning like he'd worked a miracle. I just looked at him and said "now what if he wanted to go the other direction". Should have seen the look that crossed his face.

I had a pet squirrel!! I was maybe 6yrs old. would come down from the tree when I called him and sat on my head eating sunflower seeds, use to cuddle and kiss him. I have the old 8mm movies of it. I really need to get them on a dvd and maybe get some still shots.
Be kind of a cool collage of old black and white pics growing up

~ We had a pet skunk my step-dad brought home and I think Mom soon after that let it lose. Even with their skinkers removed they still stink. She wasn't having nothing of it. He brought home a monkey one time also and again my Mom got rid of it returning it to the pet store. Alcohol was usually involved when my step-dad brought home animals.
~ Not a bad idea of making a collage of old pics.

Pondering what I should tackle today to keep my mind busy. I could go to the senior luncheon at church today but do not feel super sociable. On the other hand, I could use the hour of prayers proceeding the lunch. Need to make up my feeble mind....

Laughed about the stories of the Monkeys. A friend of mine came from a large family. They lived on the outskirts of town near the tobacco warehouses (where the burley tobacco was sold in the fall and spring). Mother started cooking and serving food from her kitchen. Got so many lunch customers she moved everything from the living room so they could have a place to eat. She ran the business for years and was an old woman when she stopped. Just cooked, set it out and you went through and served yourself. Noone wanted to cause her problems because even the court house workers went for lunch, including the employee's of the health department.
Anyway, the story goes that mother had to cook for warehouse workers to have any money to raise her kids. Dad was a drunk and one morning they woke and first thing this gal saw was a monkey setting on the mantle. Dad had won it in a poker game the night before. Now Mom's cooking wasn't going to happen with the monkey in the house so they couldn't keep it.

^^^ ........ interesting story monkey or not. Life was so different and it sounds awesome to eat at a home like that.
~ ~ Guy contracted to the security company was to come upgrade my system last evening and he called late, said he could still come or reschedule. He said the work would take about an hour so I said to reschedule as it was after 8. Actually I'm not bother at all with the delay. It isn't like my system is broke. If I had changed my evening around I might have been put out but not much going on and I'm just thankful I don't have to take time off of work to get it done during normal business hours. Besides that knowing someone was going to be in my home I did a little tidying up and I needed that butt kick to get some things done and of course I'm the real winner here.

I wanted a monkey when a kid. Dad said they are nasty, dirty, biteing animals and NO you do not want one. Knew a guy who had one when he was younger..Organ grinder kind.
I have found possums to be vicious when I attack them. They will go possum only if hurt. They have big sharp teeth and hiss and snarl. Same as coons. skunks are the gentle creatures. They know they are armed and dangerous and no one messes with them. I had ferrets a couple of times. Kept in barn. Not my idea of great pets for sure.

I'm feeling the love here ..........
~ Saturday a.m. clothes in the wash and I’m contemplating my day.
~ Texted a co-worker last evening checking on them, they had a major surgery Wed. before last. The short of it, he can’t drive yet and is ready to kill for a good burger and fries. So I’m taking ‘em out to lunch today and run any errands he might need to do. Grabbing a burger at 5 Guy’s ……. Their burgers are OH SO good!!! We are kind of kindred spirits so to speak, introverts, about the same age, have a child in the military that at times are far off, no family near and kind of loner type person. I’m starting to look forward to a simple outing and some chatting over a burger, no pretense or hidden motives. You know life can be just that simple. I know when I’ve had surgery or a procedure with no family around and you hate to call on someone for help, it would just be nice to have a simple gesture of kindness extended without feeling as if you or the other person needs to reciprocate. Introverts just do things different like that.
~ Changed out 2nd load of wash, I’m already more than ½ a pot of coffee down. Thinking about what else I might do today. I figure my co-worker will have a short span of physical energy so after I take ‘em back home I might get my nails done or go see a movie or I might just come home and take a nap as they are calling for rain later this afternoon. We’ll see.
~ I've come across a few recipes lately that I might like to try and given that I'm going to be working more OT next week I might do some cooking so I'll have something I can heat up for lunch or dinner. Last 2 weeks I put in 18 hours OT and the next 2 weeks I don't think it will be as bad but I need to prepare a little better.
~ Whatever you do today I hope it is a wonderful Saturday for you!!

Ive been liking this avocado kick Im on, not sure how I like it all of a sudden
was thinking of mashing one up with a touch of olive oil and garlic and stir into some cooked noodles like a sauce... just experimenting.
I found an easy peasy avocado hummus recipe Id like to try too.
Its suppose to be a good fat for you so why not, right?
having some coffee before loading up dog to take to the vet for her annual shots. Plus shes been limping and holding up her right back leg so that needs to get checked. She runs around like nothings wrong though so hope its not hip dysplasia. Shes much too young but could be genetic. Hope its just a sore muscle
Guess I could always let her borrow my cane

Thanks Gayle.. yes shes only a year and a half give or take.. this crazy nurse lady at the Vet is new and kept wanting to change her name, I said its SHELSEA with an S not a C!
Then she tried to tell me her birthday was March 2013.. I said HOW did that get on her record? I only got her a year ago Sept 6, 2014, Vet said she was about 6 months old then, so I backed her birthday up to March 6, 2014.... she said OK, March 1st will be her birthday... REALLY???????
I just ignored it
not sure if the recovery will be harder on her or me.
I just open the door and out they go... now I have to walk her on a leash after surgery so she wont run.... uhh.. shes 60 lbs and drags ME! lol
this should be interesting.
I need to start a GOFUND me account to pay for all this
I may NOT be able to afford retirement when this is all said an done

Yeah! That was the first thing I thought of....your beloved retirement...I know Vet bills are expensive.
Nothing lasts forever and being drug around on a leash by a 60 lb dog will get you in good condition to make hay when you start your retirement...see....every dark cloud has it's silver lining

I had to laugh this am..out and tenants pup heard us..ran up behind barn to bark at mine. And he heard and came up..tried to get pup..nope.. I have mine by collar. She is too old and with bad leg..not going to let her jump around. Finally Bob came by her, petted and said to his pup..see what I am doing! No go. And then he grabbed mine's collar and said..she is a TANK! Tell me about it..why do you think I am hanging on that hard. He finally picked up a stick and swatted his pups butt..then he listened and they went back down. THEN mine will listen.
I am happy that when her spine paralyzed her hind leg...she got better. She is 95 pounds. Not fun to lift that into a car. But she got better at 9 years old. So your pup should recover fast and well. I just worry about mine jumping or falling which she does too much on a turn or something. Worry about it happening again. The surgery will be as scary to you as if a childs. But, vets do much better now. Even if the gal is an idiot!

yea he told me that have to watch close when she comes home, no running or jumping and you know from your own experience how hard that is.. but has to stay still or could break the leg. like I said, this will be interesting for sure.

Hard to tone down an 11 year old lab..hell with a pup! Good luck gal!
I did some research on Ice and Water shield for roofs. Wish I had known this before. Seems the shingles meld into it and in 20 years..hell to pay to tear off. Ice glued to wood and shingles melted into ice. So some end up replacing decking. And someone scraped the shingle/ice to level. So I am going to put felt over the ice. Not that I will be tearing it off in 20. But, I am a nice gal and thoughtful. The ones that are done..? Bite me! I read that some roofer was putting ice and water shield over old shingles and then shingling. Is that right..contractor said NO! Stop now and tell roofer calling city inspector to Ok and watch a tear down start ASAP. Gee wonder why I do stuff myself and study on it.

~ Fishy ....... I just hope Skipper doesn't try and get her to play. Is there a way to brace it so she CAN'T use it after the surgery especially when you take her outside?
~ Orz and Fishy ... I hate to admit it but that is one reason I don't have a pet they have health problem just like us and cost so dang much these days. I might get a dog when I retire but not right now.
~ Kane .... feeling like fall especially these past few mornings. It was 55* yesterday and 53* this morning!! Cool but I love it!!
Long day yesterday at work and usually when we are busy the day fly's buy but yesterday was a bit much and actually it did NOT fly by. This week and next are suppose to be a repeat of the same, we'll see. Made a run to the grocery store ended up taking with a neighbor there in the aisle when my phone rang, it was the security guy that is to come out and upgrade my system saying he could be there in a few mins. if that would work. I was headed to the check out before he called so told him sure. Took him longer to change things out than I thought. Married, nice guy actually, we talked and given the opportunity I could easily see being friends with he and his wife. (She wasn't with him but he talked about her.) By the time he left it was too late to make much for dinner so I had a can of soup. Slept well with the windows open enjoying the cool night air.
I hope all are doing well ......... ~ Sharsea ... thinking about ya and keeping you in my prayers.

Thank you Sheza. Felt discouraged by the set back yesterday. My sister commented we never know the cause or reason for unexpected road blocks but there is a reason which I may never know but accept it and move on when I can.
Thankfully, the 24 hour bug seems to be leaving me. I see the doctor this afternoon and surely will be cleared for a new surgery date. I am past ready to move forward.
Have a super day!

Shar, yesterday may have been a blessing in disguise. Things sometimes happen for a good reason. It being a Monday perhaps the surgical crew was not up to par after a hard weekend. Just maybe you were given some more time to get more things settled with your stress and nerves. Thinking of you and wishing the best.

But, putting it off gives more time to panic. Best is the next day.
I worked on roof yesterday. Got the first row of Ice shield on. And it has grit on! OK..? I think the reason is for anti skid. So a good thing. Tore off old gas chimney cap so not have another hole to fill..sigh. Start..leap onto roof and work away. Dusk..crawl off roof and limp home. Hell to be old.

They put a cast on Lludo my Springer Spaniel when he broke his leg. I forget how he did it but I never will forget the sound of him clumping through the house. ::laughin::

they may cast it, or wrap it in a plastic apparatus like when our girl tore her joint. you could turn it clear around.. she had a plastic brace and was not supposed to run or use it much. no problem as she was afraid to for awhile.. they do adjust better than we do.

but was kinda in shock at the time and more questions came to mind when I got home... so I may make a list of questions an stop over to chat with the nurses, they know all that stuff.
Happy Wednesday to all, this is an early release day for schools, well our kids dont go home but no classes after lunch. Gives me a chance to lamenate a few things one of which is a big poster of dolphins.. who woulda thought, right?
