fishy, funny you should use that joke.. when my oldest son was working on the equipment at one of the Nevada gold mines, his boss would come in the shop, wave to him, and say Idaho.. well my son would yell back at him " No, you the pimp".. this happened several times a week..

No makes you thirsty for more beer JK

ok so went to talk bout retirement.. I have to go again because you have to fill out forms within 6 months of retiring NOT a year like someone told me ugh you would think the gal would have told me that in her emails. its ok, I was home at noon

since I will be working partial June my actual retirement date will be July 1 which is OK cus then I can work few extra days for summer session for extra money. Plus I get paid my hold back from the year.. I work 10 months but they divide that into 12 equal payments so you get checks in summer too. Few things I HAVE to do, like have insurance to qualify for some extra money IF I want to. blah blah, birth certificate, benificaries.. why? I have no clue, since if I die there IS no payment going to any one. They can have the house and split the money they get for it.. I dont care.. Id be dead.

still feel a bit lost in all this but Im sure it will work out.
any sugar daddies out there looking for a cook an care taker?

Sharsea …. Yep, I might not see your picture but can’t remove the smile that I KNOW you have the spirit that we know is in your soul.

Item … in that particular case I just slept better. (beer vs water) Reminds me I’m outta beer.

Fishy … take good notes for me!!!

I normally love a good thunderstorm lightening show but because there are people trying to recover and dry out from the floods I can’t take joy in it. I’m just praying it blows through quickly, rivers, lakes and ponds are already swollen.

One cup of coffee down and bacon is on the stove. I love a good breakfast.

Hope all are having a great day!!

I got the roof done except for ridge caps and tar. Now if my calves and back stop hurting..things will be good. No interest in the roof til then. Could hold til spring if need be. Now onward to the other 20 things that need doing before snow. And another year bites the dust soon!

Shar, those messages come in with or without a photo and it almost turns your stomach when you look at their age. Is this a sick joke they're pulling or is it a sick guy trying to skam someone they think may keep them up. I just respond saying "thanks for the compliment, I can use them these years but WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU? I have enough to do to keep myself up my less have anything left over to support the taste of someone your age".

That puts a stop to it and I get a good laugh.

figured it would surely rain as I was driving home.

The excitement in my world this morning is that I got my coffee in the cup instead of all over the counter. LOL. I spent all of Saturday cleaning out my computer. It started running, running, and then would overheat and shut down. Acted like it was timing me out. Tried this and that but didn't help. So did a full backup, and wiped it out. Took it back to the state it was when it came out of the box. WOW, what a difference. Now if I can just get all the updates completed, but one step at a time.
Have a good day and enjoy COLUMBUS Day.

when I left the office to drive over to the jail with cup of coffee in hand, I kinda "fell" into the car spilling coffee on my seat as I landed and sat in it

glad I had on black pants an I kept my head up and walked in with my soggy but perky from the coffee, butt!

AMEN to that.

Did anyone see the debate last night. Of all the people in the US and these are our choices? Pitiful is the one word that sums it up. (That is the one word acceptable to use otherwise there are several words that would describe them better). Thinking Biden is holding back until all the junk is out of the way, then he'll throw his hat in the ring. Probably win the election by default if for nothing more.

Sorry, didn't mean to bring up a nasty subject this morning but it's all over the news.

I got my root canal done. He is exacting..took over and hour. But, never felt the needle or work. Worst pain was paying. Seems a heck of a price for one tiny tooth. Which I could make his money! Aching but that is all for what was done. He said better structure that he thought but take care..with no crown and tooth compromised. I said no trouble..learned long ago to chew softly with old filled teeth.

A loggia is a long open porch type deal. Kind of like a veranda. Like in Italy. Open and runs along the side of the house. I close it in for winter with storm doors, etc. I then use cattle panels between it and the pergola and plastic so I can go from there to there to the dog trot and to the barn. Only have to set foot in snow at the barn sidewalk. I hate snow!! Made up my mind to copy the west and get from place to place inside closures.

It was a busy past week. Finding out this ol'body doesn't bounce back like it use to.
oh surely age doesn't have anything to do with it.

Orz, that sounds like a great idea. Too many walk out in the winter taking a nasty fall in the winter in snow and ice. It is scary when you live alone and what could happen. It will be safer and warmer for you.

Glad I checked threads back a few pages and sad Ms Gayle has been going through a tough time.

Had a very nice time today with my youngest and my granddaughter .. mystery ride to Brooksville since shes never been there. was going to go to antique shops but being Sunday the town was closed up

but she seen some out side walls painted with beautiful murals, we took in lunch and just enjoyed the ride.
Was really looking for a pumpkin patch to take the kid... Not a ONE to be found?? kind of found that unreal there were no road sides stands and of course the one place I HAD to stop at was closed too!
Next time we do this on a Saturday!!

Heres where I wanted to go into.. think this was Dade City??

Was just nice to get out of this area for awhile.

A new week and today will be Monday (all day long). Wishing everyone good things for the entire week and hoping you get a good start.

Today I'm going to the farm (AGAIN) with my son to split wood for his fireplace insert. WOW, forgot what real work was all about. Tells me this old mare ain't what she used to be.

Sankie ... Neither is my memory ........ I could have sworn I had messaged in here earlier this morning.

Sankie ... last time I split wood or I helped read for winter stacking wood was in Alaska with my Uncle. He had a log splitter. I got the easy job of driving the 4 wheeler and stacking the wood in the storage area. Even though he lived in a remote area, in the winter when the rivers are frozen solid that is when he brought in the heavy equipment otherwise you have to get there by boat or plane.

Wasn't going to come back into DH this morning but there is ice on the windshield so I'm letting it truck warm up and defrost it. Should be done now .. Later ~~

Good Monday Morning to all !!!!

Sheza, thinking of everyone in your area and hoping the repairs and flood damage is on it's way to getting done. It will be major battle to put it back the way it was. One good thing is that the weather in your part of the country will cooperate during the winter months for the work to continue. Around here they seem to wait until this time of year to start road work then hit with the bad months and work stalls. You'd think by now the planning committee would have had the light bulb to go on with their schedule.

The story of splitting wood in Alaska sounds like it could have been an adventure of a lifetime. How long did your uncle live in Alaska and how many times did you visit? Tell more about it.
