Who Is Gene Huber? Trump Invites Supporter At Florida Rally To Join Him On Stage, Says ‘A Star Is Born,’ In Potential Secret Service Nightmare
BY SEERAT CHABBA @CRAT074 ON 02/19/17 AT 12:41 AM
CLOSE
Five key moments from Donald Trump's press conference
President Donald Trump called an enthusiastic supporter to join him on stage soon after he started addressing crowds in Melbourne, Florida, during his Saturday rally. The supporter had already been spotted in media appearances when the president recognized him and called him on stage in a move that could have been a potential Secret Service disaster.
“Look at this guy,” Trump told the crowds. “This guy is great. Come on up!”
The Secret Service patted down Gene Huber, who was wearing a black Donald Trump T-shirt, before he went up to join the president, who said: “So he’s been all over television saying the best things and I see him standing and didn’t you get here at, like, four in the morning?”

Huber took the stage to thank Trump for doing the things he promised to do during the presidential campaign.
“Mr. President, thank you so, sir. We the people, our movement is the reason why our president of the United States is standing here in front of us today,” Huber said. “When President Trump during the election promised all these things that he was going to do for us, I knew he was going to do this for us.”
As Huber returned to the crowd, Trump said: “A star is born. I wouldn’t say that Secret Service was thrilled with that, but we know our people, right?”
Huber may have shot to instant stardom because of the president’s overtures, and in a interview with CNN later in the day, he confessed that Trump is such a great source of inspiration for him that he has a six-foot cardboard cutout of the president in his house.

“I salute that every single day and I pray and I tell him, ‘Mr. President, I pray for your safety today’,” Huber told CNN’s Pamela Brown. “And I’m not lying, I do that every single day to the president, but he's cardboard.”
He ended the interview by thanking the network for the opportunity but — in line with Trump’s outburst against the “fake media” — said: “Let’s just be a little, little nicer to our president. Thank you so much.”
The White House Director of Social Media Dan Scavino, who describes himself as the conductor of the “#TrumpTrain,” posted a video on Twitter thanking Huber for his support for the president.
Trump used the rally to take potshots at the media again. He told his supporters: “ I also want to speak to you without the filter of the fake news. The dishonest media which has published one false story after another with no sources, even though they pretend they have them, they make them up in many cases, they just don't want to report the truth and they've been calling us wrong now for two years.”
He also quoted former President Thomas Jefferson in saying “nothing can be believed which is seen in a newspaper.”
The rally also saw an appearance by first lady Melania Trump, who has not been spotted in the public very often following her husband’s inauguration. She led the crowd with the Lord’s Prayer, saying she will “always stay true to myself, and be truthful to you.”

Trump Rally Speaker Gene Huber Scolds CNN Anchor After Telling Her ‘Trump Taught Me Everything’
by Adam Pribila | 7:17 pm, February 18th, 2017
In perhaps the oddest moment of Trump’s rally in Melbourne, Florida on Saturday evening, President Trump called a man up to the podium who he saw singing his praises on television earlier that morning.
The man of the hour was West Palm Beach native Gene Huber. Huber was thrust into the media’s attention earlier this morning after waiting upwards of 13 hours in line in order to get into the hangar for Trump’s rally.
Once on stage, President Trump went further, allowing Huber a moment to speak to the crowd. Noticeably shaken, Huber made a brief statement of support for his president:
Mr. President, thank you, sir. We the people, our movement is the reason why our president of the United States is standing here in front of us today. When President Trump during the election promised all these things that he was going to do for us, I knew he was going to do this for us.
Huber’s speech lasted only a few moments; President Trump would quickly take back his podium and usher him off stage, saying, “A star is born.”
And it appeared that POTUS was right, if only for the remainder of the day, as not long after the rally Huber showed up on CNN being interviewed by Pamela Brown.
After asked to elaborate on his comment that he had been with Trump “since the beginning,” Huber said that “It’s just the way he speaks that’s truth.” He would continue, calling the base of Trump’s support a “movement”: “There’s never been a movement like this ever. Ever. I’ve never been into politics in my life. Trump taught me everything.”
As the interview wrapped up, Huber interjected, “May I say one thing?” Brown acquiesced, “Quickly.” And Huber let her have it, “Let’s just be a little, little nicer to our president.”

The reason why I asked about your smart phone is because your punctuation is non existent. Normally that comes from smart phone texting.
The origins of a party make for interesting history, but to say that both parties haven't changed or are completely the same is to display an ignorance of the overall history and evolution of those parties and how and why both of them have dramatically changed since the 1860's. If you want me to give you a history lesson on this I can, but I think that would divert attention away from the very pressing and important matters that face us today.
The issue today is that neither party really represent the average American. They play fight like they hate each other, but what you're really witnessing is akin to pro wrestling. After the cameras turn off they go out and have parties together. Both parties have been controlled by corporatists since the 1980's. And the U.S. corporate press has been a willing accomplice to this rouse.
The person who would win the White house in 2016 was destined to be a populist whether it was Bernie Sanders, or Donald Trump. The democrats sacked their populist while the repubs weren't able to.
As I've said before, I vote mostly democrat, but I am not blind to the problems in the democrat party and blame the corporatist takeover of the party for losing. That's why I don't whine about Trump. I whine about my party being full of con-artists and corporatists. I want the democrat party to become the party of the 30's, 40's, 50's, and 60's. Not the party of the 1860's and certainly not the party of today.
The jury is still out on Trump. His ultimate bullshit test is if he does something about the H-1B disaster. It was easy going after the illegals and a handful of Muslim countries because they are weak and don't have a powerful lobby. However, it will take Teddy Roosevelt balls to go after H-1B and its powerful lobby, but if he does it will have a dramatic positive effect on the hundreds of thousands of IT American workers and the economy as a whole.

Democratic party was originally the anti-federalist faction...wanted everything to be determined by the individual states...and not at a federal level...
As the democratic party was taken over by liberals...there was a huge battle that went on for almost a century...the anti-federalist formed the Dixiecrats in the late 1940's...
FDR became the straw that broke their backs and it came about to try and stop Truman...
Dixiecrats dissolved with the passing of civil rights...
Those Dixiecrats switched to republicans...
I saw it happen...I lived through it...
The majority of Tennessee is very conservative...with exception of Memphis which is the liberal bastion of the Southeastern United States...

There's that word "Liberal" again. It's become a one size fits all term used to mean anything you don't like. The word is a moving target. I've been called that by some people and a right winger by others.
How about we use just two words. Right and wrong.

Aren't you guilty of that yourself? Using words you yourself favor rather than the word and/or phrases that have been used for a century or more?
For example: Don't you favor the word "globalist" rather than "The International J()()"?

It is really no different than the redefinition of conservative...
conservative used to mean smaller government and fiscal responsibility...
now conservative is tied to a SOCIAL viewpoint...
liberal is used by the new conservative to describe anything they disagree with...lol
liberal in my eyes is about the the individual...individual liberties versus forced conformity...yet most actual liberals will turn a blind eye to personal responsibility...
conservatives have lost sight of smaller government as they will expand government to enforce their social narrative...
In other words both ideologies have been re-envisioned...and we were not part of the conversation...lmao

Overheard: “I have heard people who voted for Trump and some people who did not vote for Trump say that we should give him the benefit of the doubt and take a wait and see approach to how he handles the presidency.
I might have given Donald Trump the benefit of the doubt
before he discriminated against African American renters,
before he defrauded students in his fake university,
before he did not pay numerous contractors and made them and their families suffer,
before he spread racist birther lies about our president,
before he lied relentlessly during the campaign,
before he called women fat pigs and Miss Piggy and said you have to treat women like shit,
before he bragged about sexual assault and grabbing women by the genitals,
before he referred to Mexican immigrants as murderers and rapists,
before he said he wants to bring back waterboarding and much much worse,
before he brought the dog whistle phrase “law and order” back into our politics,
before he said he wanted to deport 11 million people including children,
before he said he planned to register Muslims and ban Muslims from entering the United States,
before he said he would consider marriage equality decisions going back to the states,
before he made up stories about thousands of Muslims in New Jersey openly celebrating the Twin Towers falling,
before he mocked a reporter with a physical disability,
before he told a made up story about General Pershing executing Muslims with bullets dipped in pig’s blood,
before he insulted a Gold Star mother and father,
before he insulted a Vietnam POW,
before he threatened to jail his political opponent,
before he intimidated members of the press,
before he said Vladimir Putin is a stronger leader than our president,
before he said an African American protester at one of his rallies deserved to be roughed up,
before he said you have go after and kill the families of terrorists,
before he said he wanted to punch people in the face,
before he offered to pay the legal fees for people who beat up protesters,
before he hired a white nationalist to be his Chief Strategist and Senior Counselor in the White House,
before he selected a person deemed too racist to be confirmed as a federal judge to be his Attorney General,
before he appointed a person Director of the CIA who wants to bring back waterboarding,
before he assigned a climate science denier to be lead the transition process at the Environmental Protection Agency,
before he said he would scrap the Paris Climate Agreement.
Yes, I might have given him the benefit of the doubt before he said and did all these things, but now I have no doubt that he simply must be resisted relentlessly as he attempts to implement the horrible things he said he would do. At this point, giving Trump the benefit of the doubt is simply giving him a head start down the road of injustice and harming the most vulnerable of our neighbors.”
There’s probably hundreds more to add to this list, but we think Mr. Davies is off to a great start. Share this if you agree that Trump doesn’t deserve the benefit of the doubt.

if we can't take care of our veterans and homeless here why are we helping illegals?
it is our veterans who leave their families and homes, and who make the ultimate sacrifice, to help other countries and protect us. they come home, we take care of them!
Illegal immigrant men and women should be fixing their own country and not coming here!
WE are breaking the law when we harbor illegals... if we are willing to protect the illegals when immigrants who came the right way and US born citizens are are left on the streets, we are being sold out by our own Government.
perhaps the citizens should vote if they want their city to be a sanctuary city.. losing federal money affects those people in those cities . it should not be those we elect to
represent us who decides, but the people.

Well, let’s see, where do I begin? There is too much here to comment on in a single post. I will start with you Nuffin. Nuffin, you say that “People today just do not realize what the elderly was costing the federal Budget prior to Social Security...” Really Nuffin? You have not, and cannot, provide links to support that claim, because it is simply not true. That’s the first point. The second point is that it is unconstitutional for the Federal Government to provide “social insurance”, as they call it, for anybody, including the elderly. The powers of the Federal Government are explicitly enumerated in the Constitution and limited ONLY to those enumerated powers, those not enumerated being reserved to the States and to the citizens, and providing “social insurance” for the elderly is NOT one of them. Exactly what part of the word “unconstitutional” do you NOT understand? Are you telling us that the Constitution, as originally written, along with legally ratified amendments, which is the law of the land, is no longer relevant? Conservatives are Constitutionalists. By ignoring the Constitution, as originally written, you are painting yourself to be something other than a Conservative.
In the old days, before Federal social security, “social insurance”, if you will, families took care of their handicapped and elderly who could no longer work or care for themselves (and everybody, if they live long enough, will eventually arrive at that point and suffer the ravages of old age and finally death by old age--unless they know how to roll back the biological clock, which relatively few know how to do). And in those days families were large, so there were family members to do that, and more than a few Christian families still do that. And Christian elderly who had no family were aided by Christian churches and charities. The Catholic Church, for example, is famous for its hospitals and old folk’s homes. The Federal Government, thanks to the Roosevelt and the Illuminati, has now unconstitutionally intruded into itself into what is calls social insurance and also into Government well fare, among other things. The ultimate motive for that unconstitutional seizure of power is to make everybody dependent on Government in order to control the populace.
Well, I am out of time for now, but I will be back later to address comments here on the relationship of Freemasonry and their Illuminati masters to Satanism--the information comes from insiders in Freemasonry. It’s important, so I will be back to address that.

I wonder how Trump-loving coal country like Donnie now....
Voters In Coal Country Get First Taste Of Trump’s New Water Poisoning Law
February 18, 2017 M.A. Tobin Environment, Health, Human Interest, News, Politics 0
Trump is giving voters in coal country a real taste of the deregulation they cheered for on the campaign trail. It comes in the form of the repeal of a clean water rule that he signed on Thursday.
Coal mining waste can now be freely dumped in rivers and streams that feed into the drinking water supply of nearby residents, and the larger bodies of water they connect to. The toxins include iron, copper, lead, zinc, molybdenum and tungsten, among others, according to the EPA.
Trump claimed that protecting clean drinking water supplies creates an unnecessary expense for coal mining companies. According to The Hill, Trump said environmental rules are, “a major threat to your jobs.”
Trump’s appointment of Scott Pruitt to head the EPA signals that eliminating clean water regulations is only the beginning of an all-out assault on environmental protections.

Maggie, you ask: “I wonder how Trump-loving coal country like Donnie now....”. Let me answer that question for you Maggie. Here in Alabama the coal mines were shutting down thanks to your beloved America hating, Kenyan born illegal alien post turtle President. One of my relatives here in Alabama lost his job as a foreman in the mines when the mines were shut down. Do we like Obama, who knows America runs on energy, shutting down domestic energy production and driving the cost of electricity sky high? Hell no! And Obama has driven the cost of electricity in the West through the roof with his EPA mandates.
Maggie, do you approve of Obama dumping “toxins, including iron, copper, lead, zinc, molybdenum, and tungsten” into the air we have to breath in thousands of chem trails across the nation? And those toxins often include human blood and viruses and such. Do you approve of that? Apparently you do.
Maggie, I resent you waging war on us, the American people. Oh, I know, I know, you think it is funny, you are just here to have fun, but actions have consequences, actions always have consequences. Thank the Good Lord for our president, President Trump. Domestic energy production is starting up again. Obama must be livid, all his actions to bring down America are being undone.

16th Amendment authorizes the federal government to tax income...
FICA is an income tax...
Congress approved the appropriation of the special tax for seniors...
Technically all income taxes were unconstitutional originally...
It was changed and ratified...
It has been challenged in the courts and the courts upheld it was constitutional...
The constitutionality of the Social Security Act was settled in a set of Supreme Court decisions issued in May 1937.
So Louie....Try again...

I believe that every dime a taxpayer pays in social security should be put into an account in their own name, and the Gov't should not be allowed to put their grubby paws on it.

Problem with that is by the time you reach retirement the cost of living has increased so much that what you paid in would not support you for very many years...
Brand new cars in the early 1970's were $2500 for nicer models...what people in 1970 paid into Social security each year would barely support them for one month in 2017...
And it is people who were paying in in 1970 that are drawing it now...
The alternative is to say well save for your retirement and kill yourself when you run out of money...but I somehow do not think that will go over too well...
IF the government does not make it a mandatory savings then 80% of the population will spend until they are destitute and unable to provide for themselves...as people live for the moment...not for tomorrow...it is human nature...
I am saving well beyond my contributions to Social Security...If not for losing my healthcare coverage at retirement...I could retire...
but I am the exception to the rule...too many do not...and prior to Social Security is was costing the government a lot of the discretionary budget...and it was a problem that was growing...

Nuff, the problem with Social Security is not the people paying in to the system. The problem is the Gov't has turned it into a welfare program.
The two notions must be separated. I'm fine with a social safety net to an extent, but don't call it something it's not.

No it is not...Social Security is not a welfare program...
Social Security your benefit is based on your contribution...and those without enough work credits do not qualify for it...
SSI is a welfare program it has nothing to do with FICA...

more apparent complete hypocrisy of the lieinglooneyleftyliberalsocialistprogressivedimdumdems..............
Elizabeth Warren
WOW, The women who slammed Trump over his taxes and grilled Ben Carson during his confirmation has now been exposed for not paying taxes herself.
the Washington Free Beacon reports:
Warren argued that financial disclosures are needed to ‘reveal potentially damaging information that may undermine fitness to serve’ and that nominees with ‘complex financial histories’ need to be ‘forthcoming and transparent.’ Warren, meanwhile, continues to skirt congressional ethics laws by failing to include a $1.3 million line of credit against her Cambridge, Massachusetts, home on financial disclosure forms.
This comes from the women who poses as the champion of the people to fight back against corruption and the top 1%.When in reality she herself is in the 1% and is benefiting and doing all the things that she and her progressive pals are so against.
This latest report has also opened the door to wide claims of hypocrisy on the part of Elizabeth Warren,as during Tom Price’s confirmation hearing before the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee on January 18 she slammed price over the purchase of $2,700 in the stock of one company.
So Mrs Warren really needs to check herself as if she is going to have the audacity to question someone else over his finances.she herself needs to sort her own finances out.
Another example of her hypocrisy comes in the way that during the campaign she slammed Trump continuously for not disclosing taxes, and now it’s come out that she has not been totally forthcoming when it comes to taxes.
Mrs Warren is surely now hurting the progressive cause as “According to a new WBUR poll, only 44 percent [of Massachusetts voters] think Warren ‘deserves reelection.’ Forty-six percent think voters ought to ‘give someone else a chance,’ ” WBUR reported on Monday.
Colin Reed of American Rising writing in the Boston Herald stated and explained that mrs Warren has always been shady when it comes to disclosing information. In a recent article mr reed wrote,“transparency has never been a hallmark of the former Harvard Law School professor.Throughout her political career, she has been dogged by lingering questions about a number of controversies, including her employment status at Harvard, her work as a corporate lawyer and her real estate holdings in Oklahoma.”

Organizing for Action (OFA) is a nonprofit 501(c)4 organization and community organizing project that advocates for the agenda of former U.S. President Barack Obama.[2][3] The organization's agenda and policies are strongly allied with the Democratic Party.[4] It is the successor of Obama's 2012 re-election campaign and of Organizing for America, which itself succeeded Obama's 2008 campaign.[5]
Founded after Obama's re-election, the group seeks to mobilize supporters in favor of Obama's legislative priorities. OFA is registered as a 501(c)(4) organization,[6]
which may advocate for legislation but is prohibited from specifically supporting political candidates.[7]
Background
Chairman Jim Messina (Obama's 2012 campaign manager)[8] and First Lady Michelle Obama announced the formation of OFA on January 18, 2013. White House official Jon Carson left the Obama administration to become the executive director. Campaign senior adviser David Axelrod serves as a consultant.[9]
Organizing for Action succeeds Organizing for America, which was formed under similar circumstances but operated under the control of the Democratic National Committee.[10] In preparation for President Obama's second term, Organizing for America was relaunched as a nonprofit group in order to mobilize support behind the president's legislative and political agenda.[5]
Organization
The organization is headquartered in Chicago.[9] As a tax exempt 501(c)(4) organization, it seeks to harness the energy of the president's re-election campaign for future legislative fights.[10] The group advocates on policy issues such as gun violence prevention, climate change, LGBT issues, and immigration.[7]
In February 2013, the New York Times reported that donors contributing or raising $500,000 or more to Organizing for Action would put them on the group's national advisory board, granting the privilege of attending quarterly update meetings given by the president.[11] White House press spokesman Jay Carney denied that access to the President was being "sold," stating that OFA was an independent organization, and referred specific questions to the OFA staff.[12] On March 8, Messina told CBS News that the president might attend a "founder's summit", but stated, "Whether you're a volunteer or a donor, we can't and we won't guarantee access to any government officials. But just as the president and administration officials deliver updates on the legislative process to Americans and organizations across the ideological spectrum, there may be occasions when members of Organizing for Action are included in those updates. These are not opportunities to lobby — they are briefings on the positions the president has taken and the status of seeing them through."[13][14]
Questions have been raised about the actual aims and the eligibility of Organizing for Action to continue to maintain the www.barackobama.com website and also control the @barackobama Twitter account. Use of these accounts by Organizing for America is not prevented by campaign finance laws.[15]
On December 17, 2013, OFA tweeted a photo of a young man with thick-rimmed glasses, wearing black-and-red plaid onesie pajamas, and cradling a mug. The accompanying text read: "Wear pajamas. Drink hot chocolate. Talk about getting health insurance. #GetTalking."[16] The tweet linked to the OFA website, which encouraged individuals to discuss Obamacare during the holiday season with those family members that are uninsured, and encourage them to sign up.[17][18] The tweet and pajama-clad man featured in it were quickly dubbed Pajama Boy, and mocked across social media, particularly by conservatives.[19]
Funding
Obama reelection campaign manager Jim Messina has stated that the group would not be accepting corporate donations and would disclose donation amounts,[20] and OFA executive director Jon Carson and Messina have both stated that OFA is a non-partisan, grassroots issue advocacy group.[21] In March 2013, OFA said that it would begin to publish its donors list (including donation amounts) on a quarterly basis.[22] In May 2014, the organization halved its staff and announced that it would stop requesting large contributions.[23]

How the Indivisible Movement is Fueling Resistance to Trump
A group of former congressional staffers put a document online two months ago to help mobilize citizens. To everyone's surprise it has grown into a genuine citizens' movement.
BY KARIN KAMP | FEBRUARY 10, 2017
After the 26-page Indivisible Guide was put online as a Google doc in mid-December, it quickly went viral — former US Labor Secretary Robert Reich and actor/activist George Takei tweeted it — and Google’s servers kept crashing, rendering it virtually useless.

The Trump Resistance Plan: Step 3
There are Indivisible groups in Arizona and Missouri — and many more are sprouting up all around the country. They are planning actions, showing up at their local representatives’ offices to voice complaints, demanding meetings and calling Congress. On Tuesday, members of Indivisible Missouri, showed up at the Kansas City office of Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO), demanding to meet with him and voice their concerns.

On Thursday night, members of Utah Indivisible and others confronted House Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) at a town hall meeting in Cottonwood Heights, a Salt Lake City suburb. Over 1,000 people packed the meeting, according to New York magazine, to “question the congressman on his failure to investigate the president, his support for Trump’s controversial executive orders and his efforts to repeal the Obama order establishing Bears Ears National Monument in southern Utah.”

This kind of local activism is exactly what Indivisible hopes will continue. Beyond “demystifying Congress,” their goal is to support local groups that are “putting the Indivisible Guide into action.”

Created by a group of former congressional staffers, the guide, now a website, provides specific tactics for fighting against President Donald Trump’s agenda by taking a page from the tea party’s playbook. So far, over 6,000 local groups have registered at IndivisibleGuide.com, agreeing “to resist Trump’s agenda, focus on local, defensive congressional advocacy and embrace progressive values.” The guide has been downloaded over a million times and the site has already had over 10 million page views.
“After the election of Donald Trump, we saw an uptick in the number of Facebook groups and online activists who were very well-meaning but were giving very bad advice,” said Sarah Dohl, a co-author of the Indivisible Guide.
People were being urged to do things like call House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) or to sign an online petition. As former congressional staffers, Dohl and her Indivisible colleagues knew that unless you “live in the 1st District of Wisconsin, Paul Ryan doesn’t work for you, and he does not care what you have to say,” she said.
These ex-staffers witnessed firsthand how the tea party rose to power and convinced their own members of Congress to reject President Obama’s agenda. “We did not realize that that agenda would be thrown off track very quickly by groups of local activists who later became known as tea party patriots,” Dohl said.
Dohl, a former staffer for Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-TX), recalls the August recess in 2009, the summer after President Obama was elected. “That’s a time when members of Congress go home and they host a lot of ribbon cuttings and pancake breakfasts and visits with little league teams,” she said.
It was supposed to be an easy break, but it turned out to be everything but. “The tea party was ready and they disrupted almost every event that summer talking about health care and screaming their chant of ‘Just say no.’”
Doggett’s office was deluged with calls from tea party-aligned voters who tied up phone lines with complaints, making it difficult for staffers to work on anything else.
Calling your own members of Congress is one of the key strategies laid out in the Indivisible Guide. It helpfully reminds us that their primary concern is getting re-elected. From the guide, “MoCs want their constituents to think well of them and they want good local press. They hate surprises, wasted time and most of all, bad press that makes them look weak, unlikable and vulnerable.”
The guide was exactly what Erin Hussein was looking for after Trump’s surprising victory. “I thought ‘there’s got to be a tea party on my side,’ she said. At first Hussein couldn’t find anything that spoke to her but kept at it. “I just kept googling ‘Democratic, tea party’ until eventually the Indivisible Guide popped up in one of my searches.”
Hussein, who lives in New York City, witnessed the tea party’s rise through the eyes of her parents. Upset by Barack Obama’s presidential victory, they were early followers of the tea party movement, driving down to Washington, DC in 2009 to protest his presidency on the National Mall.
After Hussein found the Indivisible Guide online, she said she thought, “This is exactly what I’m looking for. These are people that watched the tea party rise up and they thought about why it works.” Now, this corporate lawyer and stay-at-home mom is a co-founder of NYC Indivisible, which held its first meeting in late January. About 100 people showed up, Hussein said.
At the meeting, Hussein asked people to raise their hands if they knew who their congressperson was. “Only about half knew the name of their congressperson or their district.” New York City has five boroughs and 11 congressional districts, so part of what Hussein is working on now is “an education game.” She is planning for Congress’ upcoming recess, which begins Feb. 20, and expects to have a calendar of events up soon.
“We have to be so hyperlocal at this point. I can’t tell someone in Arizona what is happening in Arizona and someone in Missouri can’t tell me what is going on here,” Hussein said.
With a 70-member team of volunteers, Indivisible, which recently registered as a nonprofit, has been offering joint public information calls with other activist groups, such as MoveOn.org. Some 60,000 people called in to get advice on how to best organize locally. On Thursday, Indivisible hosted a video call with Organizing for Action, on how to make the most of the upcoming congressional recess.
The cost of conference calls is one of the reasons Indivisible has started accepting donations from individuals on their website, Dohl said. She denied rumors by conservatives that the group is being funded by George Soros, adding that Indivisible would be “honored” to be contacted by someone like him.
Through the Indivisible site people can find local groups, plan local actions, and access organizing resources.
“We don’t think that we’re the leaders in this movement,” Dohl said. “We really think it’s the folks on the ground who are meeting in living rooms and auditoriums and libraries across the country, and really getting out and hitting the pavement to visit their members of Congress’ office.”

The Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) is the largest membership organization within the Democratic congressional caucus in the United States Congress with 75 members.[4] The CPC is a left-leaning organization that works to advance progressive and liberal issues and positions.[5][6][7]
The CPC is currently co-chaired by U.S. Representatives Raúl Grijalva (D-AZ) and Keith Ellison (D-MN). It was founded in 1991 and has grown steadily since then, having more recently added 20 members since 2005 and having hired its first full-time Executive Director, Bill Goold, in May of that year. Subsequent Executive Directors have included Andrea Miller (2009–2011) and Brad Bauman (2011–2014). The current Executive Director is Mike Darner. Of the 20 standing committees of the House in the 111th Congress, 10 were chaired by members of the CPC. Those chairmen were replaced when the Republicans took control of the House in the 112th Congress.
History
The CPC was established in 1991 by six members of the United States House of Representatives: U.S. Representatives Ron Dellums (D-CA), Lane Evans (D-IL), Thomas Andrews (D-ME), Peter DeFazio (D-OR), Maxine Waters (D-CA), and Bernie Sanders (I-VT). Additional House Members joined soon thereafter, including Major Owens (D-NY), Nydia Velázquez (D-NY), David Bonior (D-MI), Bob Filner (D-CA), Barney Frank (D-MA), Maurice Hinchey (D-NY), Jim McDermott (D-WA), Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), Patsy Mink (D-HI), George Miller (D-CA), Pete Stark (D-CA), John Olver (D-MA), Lynn Woolsey (D-CA), and Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). Sanders was the convener and first CPC Chairman. Bill Goold served as Staff Coordinator for the Progressive Caucus in its early years until 1998.
The founding CPC members were concerned about the economic hardship imposed by the deepening recession, and the growing inequality brought about by the timidity of the Democratic Party response in the early 1990s. On January 3, 1995 at a standing room only news conference on Capitol Hill, they were the first group inside Congress to chart a detailed, comprehensive legislative alternative to U.S. Speaker Newt Gingrich and the Republican Contract with America, which they termed "the most regressive tax proposals and reactionary social legislation the Congress had before it in 70 years." The CPC's ambitious agenda was framed as "The Progressive Promise: Fairness."
Budget proposal for 2012
In April 2011, the Congressional Progressive Caucus released a proposed "People's Budget" for fiscal year 2012.[8] Two of its proponents stated: "By implementing a fair tax code, by building a resilient American economy, and by bringing our troops home, we achieve a budget surplus of over $30 billion by 2021 and we end up with a debt that is less than 65% of our GDP. This is what sustainability looks like."[9]
Ideology
The CPC advocates "universal access to affordable, high quality healthcare", fair trade agreements, living wage laws, the right of all workers to organize into labor unions and engage in collective bargaining, the abolition of the USA PATRIOT Act, the legalization of same-sex marriage, US participation in international treaties such as the climate change related Kyoto Accords, strict campaign finance reform laws, a crackdown on corporate welfare and influence, an increase in income tax rates on upper-middle and upper class households, tax cuts for the poor, and an increase in welfare spending by the federal government.[10]
The CPC's founding statement of purpose states that it was "organized around the principles of social and economic justice, a non-discriminatory society, and national priorities which represent the interests of all people, not just the wealthy and powerful".[citation needed] The founding members underscored that the Cold War was over, and that the nation's budget and overall priorities should show that. They called for cuts in outdated and unnecessary military spending, a more progressive tax system which places a larger portion of the tax burden on corporations and those with higher earnings, a substantial increase in federal funding for social programs designed to meet the needs of low and middle-income American families, and trade policies that increase the exports of more American products and encourage the creation of well-paying jobs and sound investment in America. They also expressed their belief that those policy goals could be achieved in concert with a commitment to long-term fiscal responsibility.[citation needed]
Supporting organizations
The non-profit organization most closely associated with the Congressional Progressive Caucus is ProgressiveCongress.org which works to connect the caucus to progressives outside the Congress.
In addition, an array of national liberal organizations work to support the efforts of the progressive caucus, including the Institute for Policy Studies, The Nation magazine, MoveOn.org, National Priorities Project, Jobs with Justice, Peace Action, Americans for Democratic Action, and Progressive Democrats of America. Also co-sponsoring the kickoff event were the NAACP, ACLU, Progressive Majority, League of United Latin American Citizens, Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, National Council of La Raza, Hip Hop Caucus, Human Rights Campaign, Association of Farmworker Opportunity Programs, and the National Hip Hop Political Convention.
House members
Congressional Progressive Caucus in the 114th United States Congress
All members are members of the Democratic Party or caucus with the Democratic Party. In the 114th Congress there are currently 70 declared Progressives, including 68 voting Representatives, one non-voting Delegate, and one Senator.

Organizing for Action, the activist group that morphed from Barack Obama’s first presidential campaign, has partnered with the newly-formed Indivisible Project for “online trainings” on how to protest President Donald Trump’s agenda.
Last week, Breitbart News extensively reported that Indivisible leaders are openly associated with groups financed by billionaire George Soros.
Politico earlier this month profiled Indivisible in an article titled, “Inside the protest movement that has Republicans reeling.” The news agency not only left out the Soros links, but failed to note that the organizations cited in its article as helping to amplify Indivisible’s message are either financed directly by Soros or have close ties to groups funded by the billionaire, as Breitbart News documented.
Organizing for Action (OFA) is a so-called community organizing project that sprung from Obama’s 2012 campaign organization, Organizing for America, becoming a nonprofit described by the Washington Post as “advocate[ing] for the president’s policies.”
In a recent Facebook post titled, “Take a deep breath. Then take action,” OFA called on constituents to lobby particularly hard between now and February 26, when lawmakers will be in their home districts.
The post included a link to a guide released by Indivisible on how to organize against Trump. “Stay tuned for online trainings and invitations to calls with coalition partners like Indivisible Guide,” the OFA post states.
Paul Sperry, writing at the New York Post, relates:
The manual, published with OFA partner “Indivisible,” advises protesters to go into halls quietly so as not to raise alarms, and “grab seats at the front of the room but do not all sit together.” Rather, spread out in pairs to make it seem like the whole room opposes the Republican host’s positions. “This will help reinforce the impression of broad consensus.” It also urges them to ask “hostile” questions — while keeping “a firm hold on the mic” — and loudly boo the the GOP politician if he isn’t “giving you real answers.”
“Express your concern [to the event’s hosts] they are giving a platform to pro-Trump authoritarianism, racism, and corruption,” it says.
…“Even the safest [Republican] will be deeply alarmed by signs of organized opposition,” the document states, “because these actions create the impression that they’re not connected to their district and not listening to their constituents.”
Sperry reported OFA “plans to stage 400 rallies across 42 states this year to attack Trump and Republicans over ObamaCare’s repeal.”
Earlier this month, NBC News reported on OFA’s new actions and its partnership with Indivisible:
OFA has hired 14 field organizers in states home to key senators as part of its campaign to defend Obama’s signature healthcare law. To run that campaign, the group hired Saumya Narechania — the former national field director at Enroll America, which worked to sign people up for Obamacare — and a deputy campaign manager.
…OFA says more than 1,800 people have applied to its Spring Community Engagement Fellowship, a six-week training program, two-thirds of whom have not previously been involved with OFA.
And the group has teamed up with Indivisible, a buzzy newcomer to the progressive movement, to offer organizing training that began Thursday night with a video conference. A combined 25,000 people have registered to participate in those trainings, OFA said.
Indivisible’s DC branch was implicated in a scuffle last week that reportedly injured a 71-year-old staffer for Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) as well as reportedly knocking a 2-year-old to the ground. Protesters claimed they were only delivering Valentine’s Day cards.
Indivisible is a part of a coalition of activist groups slated to hold a massive anti-Trump Tax March in Washington and at least 60 other locations on April 15.
Unreported by the news media is that most of the listed partners and support organizers of the march are openly financed by Soros or have close links to Soros financing, as Breitbart News documented last week.
Meanwhile, earlier this month, Politico profiled Indivisible and reported that “conservatives” are “spreading unfounded rumors” that the group is “being driven by wealthy donors like George Soros.”
Politico, however, seemingly failed to do even the most minimal research on the Indivisible leaders cited in the news outlet’s own profile. Some of those personalities are openly associated with groups financed by Soros.
Politico further failed to note that the organizations cited in its article as helping to amplify Indivisible’s message are either financed directly by Soros or have close ties to groups funded by the billionaire.
Citing Angel Padilla, a co-founder of the group, Politico reported:
Dubbed “Indivisible,” the group launched as a way for Padilla and a handful of fellow ex-Democratic aides to channel their post-election heartbreak into a manual for quashing President Donald Trump’s agenda. They drafted a 26-page protest guide for activists, full of pointers on how to bird dog their members of Congress in the language of Capitol insiders.

The manual has since been downloaded over one million times. Indivisible says on its website that over 4,500 local groups across the nation have “signed up to resist the Trump agenda in nearly every congressional district in the country.”
The manual has been utilized to form the basis of a protest movement. The group’s website states: “What’s more, you all are putting the guide into action—showing up en masse to congressional district offices and events, and flooding the congressional phone lines. You’re resisting—and it’s working.”
Politico reported on “unfounded” rumors being spread about Soros’s involvement with Indivisible (emphasis added by this reporter):
Its handful of senior leaders count about 100 contributors to their national organizing work but insist that all are working on a volunteer basis. They know conservatives are spreading unfounded rumors that their success is being driven by wealthy donors like George Soros, which they flatly deny.
That paragraph was followed by the following quote from co-founder Padilla (emphasis again added by this reporter):
“It doesn’t matter who we take money from — we’re always going to get blamed as a Soros group, even if we don’t take money from Soros,” said Padilla, now an analyst with the National Immigration Law Center. “That’s one of the attacks and that’s fine.”
While “Indivisible” has yet to disclose its donors, Politico failed to inform readers that the National Immigration Law Center where the news outlet reported Padilla serves as an analyst is financed by Soros’s Open Society Foundations. The Center has received numerous Open Society grants earmarked for general support.
Also unmentioned by Politico is that Padilla previously served as an immigration policy consultant at the radical National Council of La Raza. Soros is a major La Raza donor.
Politico went on to detail how Indivisible has been aided by MoveOn.org and the ACLU. The news website failed to tell readers that MoveOn.org and the ACLU are both financed by Soros, a relevant tidbit given Politico’s claim about “unfounded rumors” that Indivisibles’ success was being driven by Soros .
The news website reported:
In addition, MoveOn.org and the Working Families Party joined with Indivisible for its first nationwide call on Jan. 22. Nearly 60,000 people phoned in that day, according to Levin and MoveOn organizing director Victoria Kaplan. Indivisible estimates that its second national call, on the impact of Trump’s immigration order with assistance from the ACLU and Padilla’s group, drew 35,000 people.
Politico also missed that, according to its Twitter account, another organizer of the conference call with MoveOn.org was the International Refugee Assistance Project, a project of the Urban Justice Center, another recipient of an Open Society grant.
Taryn Higashi, executive director of the Center’s International Refugee Assistance Project, currently serves on the Advisory Board of the International Migration Initiative of Soros’s Open Society Foundations.
Politico further reported on Indivisible’s ties to the organizers of last month’s anti-Trump Women’s March while failing to mention that Soros reportedly has ties to more than 50 “partners” of that march. Also, this journalist first reported on the march leaders’ own close associations with Soros.
Regarding Indivisible and the Women’s March, Politico reported:
Indivisible is also embracing collaboration with other major anti-Trump protest outlets. Leaders of the group were in communication with Women’s March organizers before their main event on Jan. 21, and that partnership will become official when the March unveils the third in its series of 10 direct actions that attendees have been asked to pursue in their communities.
Another Indivisible leader mentioned in the Politico article is Jeremy Haile. Not reported by Politico is that is Haile served as federal advocacy counsel for the Sentencing Project. The Sentencing Project is reportedly financed by Soros’s Open Society Foundations, which has also hosted the Project to promote its cause.

Nuffan, you correctly state that the income tax was originally unconstitutional but was “changed and ratified” by the sixteenth amendment. But, as I am sure you already know, the 16th amendment was NOT ratified by the required number of states, it was not legally ratified, so income tax is NOT constitutional, and Federal courts have no authority to declare it so when it wasn’t. Originally, the authors of the Income Tax, as you probably also know, swore that it would never be applied to earned income, but only to investment income or whatever. So it was changed after it was passed, kind of reminds you of Pelosi’s famous statement: “You will have to pass it to find out what’s in it [the Obamacare monstrosity of a bill, you know, the so called “Affordable Care Act”, Democrats are constantly titling bills the exact opposite of what they are to get them passed—there should be a law that when a bill contradicts its title, the bill is automatically null and void].
Nuffan, you say the problem with putting SS money in a lock box is that “by the time you reach retirement the cost of living has increased so much that what you paid in would not support you for very many years...”. Nuffan, you have that a** backwards. Fundamentally, it is not a cost of living problem, the problem is that the money you paid into the SS system is deflating in value, you are looking at it the wrong way. The money in the hypothetical lock box is continually losing value due to inflation. Inflation is effectively a tax on your savings (if you think of what is in the lock box as savings), and is perhaps the cruelest tax of all, a hidden tax; in effect, the government is taking your saved money through inflation. That could be prevented by allowing the money in the hypothetical lock box to be converted to something of intrinsic value, such as precious metals, or invested in dividend paying stock, or whatever. But a more fundamental problem is that the government does not consider the money in the hypothetical lock box to be yours. And it EXPLICITLY states that it is under NO obligation to pay you SS benefits from it. I kid you not. The only reason they do pay is because there would be an uproar if they didn’t. But of course, there is no lock box, the SS money today was "borrowed" from the fund and put in the general fund and counted as general fund money.
Nuffan, It is not the people’s fault that the Government violated the Constitution by giving its constitutional right to coin money to the FED, and that the fiat money the government uses today is nothing but paper with no backing, the people had nothing to do with that –they are the victims of it. And it’s not the people’s fault that Federal Judges are breaking their oath to uphold the Constitution by legislating from the bench and amending the Constitution from the bench. But it will be their fault, if they do not rise up and demand that their legislators stop this by impeaching lawless Federal judges.
And Nuffin, you say again: “prior to Social Security it was costing the government a lot of the discretionary budget...and it was a problem that was growing...”. Nuffin, that’s a damn lie. Stop making that statement without links to back it up. As I have pointed out to you before, families took care of their own in the old days, and charities helped those who had no families, the Federal Government has no constitutional right to use tax money to support the citizens. Now cough up links to your claim or stop making it.

“THE DEVIL!” – Some Democrats TURN On Obama After Learning of His ‘Shadow Government’
By Prissy Holly
Over the past week, Obama’s chilling plot to take down President Trump has been revealed. At this very moment, 250 offices across the United States are training Obama’s “army” in Saul Alinsky tactics, as Obama has been behind the curtain secretly leading Organizing For Action (OFA) for months. As he trains his anti-Trump agitators with their numbers quickly swelling to 85,000, unfortunately for Obama, his plan to undermine Trump and take down our president isn’t sitting to well for several top Democrats in Washington.
Ever since Trump defeated Hillary, we’ve seen these very same paid agitators taking to the streets in violence. Obama was caught red-handed funding these idiots, as he was exposed recently for shelling out a startling $400 million to anti-Trump left-wing groups on his way out the door. Now we have concrete proof that he’s been behind this movement all along. However now that the truth is coming out, some of the people from Obama’s own party are calling BS on his shady antics.
WND reports that Louisiana Democrat Party Executive Director Stephen Handwerk caught wind of Obama’s plan and decided to write a response to Obama’s shadow government, stating, “This is some GRADE A Bulls-t right here.” He went on to say that this is the very reason why Democrats have lost so much to Republicans, is because of Obama’s antics over the past 8 years with his shady dealings.
“It also to me seems TONE DEAF – we have lost over 1,000 seats in the past 8 years … all because of this crap.”
The Angry Patriot has more:
Never before have we seen such a blatant attempt at a political coup by an outgoing administration’s party. The people of this country have been trying to tell Dems it is time to go in a different direction, but they are not listening, not even to their own voters.
As Handwerk points out, they have lost 1,000 seats, since Obama’s first Inauguration, yet they play to the protesters, most of whom don’t even vote! They just like to burn things up and commit crimes, which they know they will not be punished for.
In all, there are an estimated 250 offices with over 30,000 active “soldiers” and up to as many as 50,000 more expected to complete training. They have no other purpose than to disrupt our government.
Unfortunately, this is only one small part of Obama’s plan to take down our president. Over the weekend another scandal involving Obama’s treasonous antics was revealed, after it came to light that 17 days before leaving office, Obama slipped something into section 2.3 of Executive Order 12333, giving authority to 16 additional intel agencies besides the NSA FULL PERMISSION to tap any phone call of Trump’s or anyone within his administration whenever the hell they want. This is exactly where the leak with Michael Flynn came from, which was an all-out act of espionage.
Not only are these agencies now able to leak whatever they want to the press, they also have the ability to blackmail Trump if they choose to, which is an absolute crime. Watch Sekulow explain the exactly what is at stake with the bombshell that he has uncovered:
While we had all hoped that Obama would retire to a golf course somewhere whacking at his balls, unfortunately for us, his sinister plans for America are hardly over. He’s hardly going to sit by and let Trump flush his “legacy” down the toilet, and he’s rallying an army to ensure that it doesn’t happen.
We must continue to expose what is going on so that our president and his team can do whatever they can to battle this BS. Now that he’s training literally hundreds of thousands of these agitators and has a full shadow government in swing, it will become easier and easier for Obama and his army to undermine, and eventually take down the President of the United States!
