Sexercise: 657 reasons why the ultimate workout happens between the sheets

Sex can employ all the muscles in the body
Bill Borrows
27 FEBRUARY 2017 • 10:56AM
How's your New Year gym membership going? Been once, maybe twice? Given it up as a bad idea but forgotten to cancel the direct debit or still thinking about going next week? That’s how it normally works. As the Oscar-winning screenwriter Sonya Levien put it, "Good intentions are not enough. They've never put an onion in the soup yet."

Which is to say, it’s action that counts and, unless you are really wedded to that cross trainer, I am the bearer of good news.

There are 657 muscles in the human body. According to new research from Upbeat Active, sending a text uses 38 of them, the quick sprint for the bus this morning pressed 99 into action, while a golf drive needs 137 (there are no stats available for muscles used whilst searching for your ball in the rough or throwing your Callaway Big Bertha Alpha 816 driver into the water hazard).

However, the key thing to take from this research is that, if you’re doing it right, sex will utilise all 657. If you’re doing it right. Call it working out while you’re lying down. Or standing up. Or whatever.

Physiotherapist and muscle anatomy expert Mike Aunger, who has worked with the Chelsea Academy, the GB bobsleigh and ski-cross teams and Saracens Ladies rugby, led the research. "We require every muscle to fire on all cylinders," he says. "In the bedroom, every muscle matters. All your skeletal muscles are essential for movement, no matter how vigorous; all your autonomous (involuntary) smooth muscles play a ceaseless role in digestion, respiration, circulation and bodily function; and of course your cardiac muscles are integral for pumping blood into all the right places.”

According to the data, the bulbospongiosus – aka ‘the sex hero muscle’ – plays the starring role between the sheets for both sexes. Found in the perineum, it contributes to erection and ejaculation in men, clitoral erection in women, and the contractions of orgasm in both. It’s an equal opportunity employer. Regular activity with the lights off (or on) will, with the rest of the sex muscles, keep the bulbospongiosus trained.

If your partner needs more convincing to go for a quick workout upstairs, Aunger cautions: "Inactivity is a modern day crisis. It’s one of the ten leading risk factors for global mortality according to the World Health Organisation (WHO) and “insufficient activity” increases risk of death by a harrowing 20–30pc. The problem is becoming exasperated by jobs that keep us glued to our office chair all day.

"From birth to around your 30th birthday your muscles are capable of growing bigger and stronger. But once you hit your fourth decade your muscles are on the slide. This can leave you more at risk of injury and less equipped to handle the daily demands of everyday life. It’s never been more important to keep your muscles healthy.

"Physical inactivity can cause you to lose as much as 3–5pc of muscle mass each decade but you can slow the decline with regular exercise and optimal protein nutrition." In other words, it doesn’t depend on the size of your boat or the motion of your ocean: sex is a full-body workout that exercises every one of your 657 muscles no matter how you like to get down.

As I’ve explained to my other half, it’s crucial that in these days of desk-bound day-time existence we get as much exercise as possible – and no I don’t want any walking boots for my birthday. As the health professionals recommend, a good workout should be extremely regular, routine almost, at least twice a day and as vigorous as possible. That’s what the experts say.

"Ideally it should last more than 30 minutes," laughs Aunger, "But I’ve got no stats on how long sex lasts for average British couple. To be fair, 45 minutes would probably be better."

So, in essence, looking after your muscles means you can enjoy better sex, be more active, live longer and happier lives. It’s time to start looking after your muscles gentlemen. Particularly the unpronounceable, unspellable but invaluable bulbospongiosus. And that can start by spending more time working out in the bedroom.

Feel free to print this off and leave it lying around the house.

The research was conducted as part of a campaign to raise awareness for muscle health by Upbeat Active.

FLASHBACK: Obama Booted Reporters From Conservative Papers Off His Plane In ‘08
Photo of Michael Bastasch

1:37 PM 01/12/2017

President-elect Donald Trump’s team has taken a lot of heat for threatening to kick a CNN reporter out of Trump Tower for being “rude” during a Wednesday press conference.

The media heaped on Trump for his treatment of CNN, forcing incoming White House press secretary Sean Spicer to say he would “absolutely not” kick out news groups for critical coverage.

But the media is forgetting that then-Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign kicked off three reporters from his plane who worked for papers that endorsed Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain in the 2008 presidential race.

The Obama campaign did so in the final four days of the race, ABC News reported in 2008, claiming “a limited number of seats forced it to make the tough decision of which journalists would be permitted to follow” Obama on the campaign trail.

BREAKING: TRUMP says OBAMA behind LEAKS

Trump was asked in an interview on Fox News' "Fox and Friends" if he believed Obama was responsible for the town hall protests against Republicans this month.

"It turns out his organization seems to do a lot of these organizing to some of the protests that these Republicans are seeing around the country against you. Do you believe President Obama is behind it and if he is, is that a violation of the so-called unsaid presidents' code?" Trump was asked.

"No, I think he is behind it. I also think it is politics, that's the way it is," Trump replied.

Mukasey: 'Where is the crime?'

Unreal! CNN Anchor Claims Trump Has Committed “Treason”…Former Attorney General Shoots Back: “Where is the crime?” [Video]
By 100% FED Up -

Former Attorney General under Bush Michael Mukasey was on CNN with Erin Burnett and got the shock of his life when Burnett made the claim of treason against President Trump. The video below is hysterical and exposes the bubble the press is in when it comes to trying to bury Trump. They’re downright delusional at this point! Speaking to Russians is NOT treason!

Here's The Full Context Behind The Incredibly Dumb 'Kellyanne On The Couch' Controversy

Posted Tuesday, February 28th 2017 @ 10am by Hannity.com Staff

Kellyanne Conway has found herself the target of media derision after a photo began circulating of the presidential advisor kneeling on a couch in the Oval Office.

The snapshot, which was taken by Brendan Smialowski of AFP, came as President Trump met with leaders of black universities and colleges.

Conway immediately drew the ire of the left, with many saying that she was being disrespectful. Black Lives Matter activist Shaun King went as far as to suggest Conway's demeanor was racist:

I sincerely doubt that Kellyanne Conway would be on the couch, shoes off, on her knees, looking at her phone, if the room was full of white dignitaries or CEOs that she actually actually respected.

These are the presidents of America's Black colleges and universities.

But was Kellyanne just casually lounging around in the Oval Office at the time the photo was snapped? As it turns out, the President's advisor was trying to get a good angle for a photo of the President with his guests.

Here's the full context:

As some have noted, this wouldn't be the first time someone has had their feet up on the Oval Office furniture:

For those of you who were upset by Kellyanne Conway: Did this upset you?
No???
Then sit down and shut up!!!

Taking Liberal Stupidity To A New Level : Gay CNN Host Tweeted Support For Sharia Law – The Internet Responded
By Phoenix Brooks

Gays For Sharia

Some Liberals are so beyond-the-pale ignorant that they can’t see the forest because the trees are blocking their view.

CNN political commentator Sally Kohn found herself in hot water, from social media users, after posting a controversial Tweet suggesting that “Progressive Muslims,” who are fighting against radicalized Islamic terrorists, also subscribe to the idea of Sharia law.

The irony was not lost on Twitter users, who immediately pointed out that a homosexual, like Kohn, would be put to death in many countries that use Sharia Law as the basis of their legal system.

Hey @realDonaldTrump, many *progressive Muslims* -- the ones we should support in ideological fight against extremism -- believe in Sharia!!

THE Chris Coon

One wonders what 'progressive' aspects of Sharia law @sallykohn finds attractive. @realDonaldTrump

An Open Letter to Colin Kaepernick,

Dear Colin guess you have been pretty busy these last few days. For the record I don’t think any more or less of you for not standing for the National Anthem. Honestly, I never thought that much about you, or any professional athlete for that matter, to begin with. I’ve read your statement a few times and want you to know I am one of the reasons you are protesting. You see I am a retired police officer that had the misfortune of having to shoot and kill a 19-year-old African American male. And just like you said, I was the recipient of about $3,000 a month while on leave which was a good thing because I had to support a wife and three children under 7-years-old for about 2 months with that money. Things were pretty tight because I couldn’t work part time. Every police officer I’ve ever known has worked part-time to help make ends meet.

You know Colin the more I think about it the more we seem to have in common. I really pushed myself in rehab to get back on the street, kind of like you do to get back on the field. You probably have had a broken bone or two and some muscle strains and deep bruising that needed a lot of work. I just had to bounce back from a gunshot wound to the chest and thigh. Good thing we both get paid when we are too banged up to “play”, huh? We both also know what it’s like to get blindsided. You by a 280- pound defensive end, ouch! Me, by a couple of rounds fired from a gun about 2 feet away, into my chest and thigh. We also both make our living wearing uniforms, right? You have probably ruined a jersey or two on the field of play. I still have my blood stained shirt that my partner and paramedics literally ripped off my back that cold night in January. Fortunately, like you I was given a new one. Speaking of paramedics aren’t you glad the second we get hurt trainers and doctors are standing by waiting to rush onto the field to scoop us up. I’m thankful they get to you in seconds. It only took them about 10 minutes to get to me. By the grace of God, the artery in my thigh didn’t rupture or else 10 minutes would have been about 9 minutes too late. We also have both experienced the hate and disgust others have just because of those uniforms we wear. I sure am glad for your sake that the folks who wear my uniform are on hand to escort you and those folks that wear your uniform into stadiums in places like Seattle!

I guess that’s where the similarities end Colin. You entertain for a living, I and almost 800,000 others across this country serve and protect. Are there some bad apples within my profession? Absolutely and they need to be identified and fired or arrested! But you know what, the vast majority do the right thing, the right way, for the right reason. Did I mention that seconds before I was shot, an elderly African American gentleman walking down the sidewalk, turned to my partner and I as we rode past and said, “Get them.” Get who you ask? The thugs terrorizing an otherwise good and decent neighborhood, home to dozens of good, decent African American families trying to raise those families in communities not protected by gates and security guards. No these folks and families depend on America’s Law Enforcement Officers.

Colin I have buried 7 friends, killed in the line of duty and three others who have committed suicide. I have attended more funerals than I care to remember of neighboring departments who have lost officers in the line of duty, during my career. Law Enforcement Officers with different backgrounds, upbringings, and experiences united by their willingness to answer the call to protect and serve their fellow citizens.

Colin I am sorry for the endorsement deals you may lose and the dip in jersey sales, but please know you will NEVER lose what these men and women and their families have lost. And so whether you stand or sit during the National Anthem means very little to me. As for me and the men and women on whose team I was privileged to serve, we will put on our ballistic vests, badge, and gun, kiss our loved one’s goodbye, for some tragically for the last time, and out into a shift of uncertainty we will go. We will continue to protect and continue to serve and we will be standing at attention Colin, not just for the playing of our National Anthem, but far more importantly for the playing of Taps.
Chris Amos

And some members of the media continue to insist he is "The smartest man ever elected to the Presidency". Can you say ‘bumbling idiot’?

“If ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the
highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.” Samuel Adams, 1780

If not now, when? If not us, who?

Keith Ellison and Debbie Wasserman Schultz and many other looneyleftydimdumdems refusing to clap for the sobbing widow of a Navy Seal was plain DISGRACEFUL!

Even though President Trump gave an AMAZING speech, the Dems still decided to protest him… Nothing new right here! During his speech, everyone of us noticed something nasty that Democrats did!

Every single one of them should be ashamed of themselves. They showed their side tonight, they’re not Americans!

However, AMAZING thing happened when President Trump acknowledged the wife of slain Navy SEAL William ‘Ryan’ Owens, Carryn Owens. But unfortunately, the Dems ruined the moment!

With Mrs. Owens sitting next to his daughter Ivanka, the president said they “were blessed to be joined by Carryn Owens, widow of US Navy Special Operator, Senior Chief William ‘Ryan’ Owens.”

The President went on to say, “Ryan died as he lived,” he stated. “A warrior and a hero, battling against terrorism and securing our nation.”

Then it came a moment when every single attendant clapped! EVERYONE, EXCEPT Debbie Wasserman Schultz & Keith Ellison. Typical Democrats…

They are truly classless, disrespectful and poor excuses for Americans. Shame on them!

Anyone who did not stand for this is a piece of garbage. She represented a man who died for our country.

Barack Obama's close confidante Valerie Jarrett has moved into his new DC home, which is now the nerve center for their plan to mastermind the insurgency against President Trump
Obama's goal is to oust Trump from the presidency either by forcing his resignation or through his impeachment, a family friend tells DailyMail.com
Jarrett has moved into the 8,200-square-foot, $5.3-million Kaloroma mansion to work closely with the former president and Michelle Obama
Jarrett lived in the White House, dined with the Obamas, and helped shape his domestic and foreign policies
Obama cannot use his West End office, a post-presidency perk, for political purposes
'He's coming. And he's ready to roll.' former Attorney General Eric Holder said yesterday about the former president's reentry into the political scene

Wednesday, Jamiel Shaw, father of Jamiel Shaw II, who was a 17-year-old high football player killed by Pedro Espinoza, an illegal immigrant, was interviewed on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends.”

On March 2, 2008, Jamiel Shaw II was shot and murdered by an illegal immigrant who was recently released from prison. Instead of being deported, Pedro Espinoza was free to kill Shaw because the non-gang member didn’t respond quickly enough to the question of to which gang he belonged.

Shaw was an athlete, musician and by all accounts, a good student. At the time of his murder, his mother Anita was serving her second tour in Iraq. Shaw had just gotten off the phone with his father, Jamiel Sr. He was three blocks from home.

Donald Trump highlighted Shaw’s story in his address last night, framing the issue of illegal immigration around safety. There were scattered boos among Democrats. Shaw was asked about in on Fox and Friends...

During that appearance, he reacted to boos from Democrats in attendance at President Donald Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress to immigration portion of his speech.

Shaw criticized those Democrats but added he was going to ignore them as they have ignored him.

“Oh my God — I was like, man you know, what do they want?” Shaw said. “They don’t want nothing but division, bickering. They don’t want to solve no problems. They don’t want to help kids or husbands or family members that’s been murdered by illegals. I mean, just the way they did that was so disrespectful. But it’s bigger than them, so I just keep on moving. I just ignore them like they do me.”

Jessica Davis and Susan Oliver are the widows of two Northern California sheriff’s deputies who were shot to death in 2014 by a convicted felon who had twice been deported to Mexico. Luis Enrique Monroy Bracamontes tried to plead guilty to the murders of Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputy Danny Oliver and Placer County Sheriff's Deputy Michael Davis Jr. but was ordered to stand trial in October.

Kellyanne Sexually Harassed By Perverted Black Democrat, What he Said Will Make You SICK! He Needs To Be Removed NOW
By Prissy Holly -
Mar 2, 2017

On almost a daily basis, liberals show us just how vile and disgusting their souls truly are. While we’ve gotten used to their antics since Trump got in office, one black congressman’s vitriolic comments about Kellyanne Conway were so disturbing, he needs to be forcibly removed from office immediately.

Several days ago, President Trump held a special event at the White House where he brought together over 60 African-American professors from around the nation. While the meeting should’ve been a unifying moment for Republicans and Democrats, liberals immediately began to pick apart the event by focusing their attention on Conway who was sitting on her knees on the Oval Office couch so she could gain the height that was necessary to take pictures of Trump and the group, but still not get in the away of the camera crew behind her.

Shortly after the picture of Conway began to circulate on social media, liberals went nuts, even stooping so low as to call Conway a “slut.” But then Democratic Rep. Cedric Richmond took the disgusting rhetoric to a whole new level, making an absolutely vile accusation about Trump’s right-hand aide.
Democratic Rep. Cedric Richmond

Richmond said that Conway looked “familiar” with being on her knees, alluding that the only reason she got her job at the White House was from giving “special favors” to Trump. What was even more horrifying is that Richmond didn’t confine his jokes to just a small circle of people, but his remarks were made during a public forum during the Washington Press Club Foundation dinner.

“You even mentioned Kellyanne and that picture on that sofa,” Rep. Richmond said during his speech to Republican Sen. Tim Scott who has at the event. “I really want to know what was going on there because she really looked kind of familiar in that position there, but don’t answer.”

Richmond’s comments are not only disgusting and vile, but proves yet again that the REAL “war on women” is not being perpetrated from anyone on the Right, but those on the Left who constantly tear down conservative women simply because their political views do not align with theirs. Could you imagine if a white man made a comment like this about Michelle Obama? The incident would be front page news all across every liberal rag in America!

Do the reasons given really play a part if both sides continually engage in it? The problem is the voters. Half are always for war, and the other half against, depending on who's in power. The warmongering ends when both sides oppose it.

Trump attended the The Kew-Forest School. At 13, he enrolled in the New York Military Academy (NYMA), in Cornwall, New York, where he finished eighth grade and high school.

Trump attended Fordham University in the Bronx for two years, beginning in August 1964. He then transferred to the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, which offered one of the few real estate studies departments in United States academia at the time. While there, he worked at the family's company, Elizabeth Trump & Son, named for his paternal grandmother. He graduated from Penn in May 1968 with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics.

Trump was not drafted during the Vietnam War. While in college from 1964 to 1968, he obtained four student deferments. In 1966, he was deemed fit for service based upon a military medical examination, and in 1968 was briefly classified as fit by a local draft board, but was given a 1-Y medical deferment in October 1968. In an interview for a 2015 biography, he attributed his medical deferment to heel spurs. In 1969, he received a high number in the draft lottery, which would also have likely exempted him from service.

From ages six to ten, Obama attended local Indonesian-language schools: Santo Fransiskus Asisi (St. Francis of Assisi) Catholic School for two years and Besuki Public School for one and a half years, supplemented by English-language Calvert School homeschooling by his mother.[22][23] During his time in Indonesia, Obama's step-father taught him to be resilient and gave him "a pretty hardheaded assessment of how the world works".[24]

Obama returned to Honolulu in 1971 to live with his maternal grandparents, Madelyn and Stanley Dunham. He attended Punahou School— a private college preparatory school— with the aid of a scholarship from fifth grade until his graduation from high school in 1979.[25] In his youth, Obama went by the nickname "Barry".[26] Obama lived with his mother and sister in Hawaii for three years from 1972 to 1975 while his mother was a graduate student in anthropology at the University of Hawaii.[27] Obama chose to stay in Hawaii with his grandparents for high school at Punahou when his mother and sister returned to Indonesia in 1975 so his mother could begin anthropology field work.[28] His mother spent most of the next two decades in Indonesia, divorcing Lolo in 1980 and earning a PhD degree in 1992, before dying in 1995 in Hawaii following unsuccessful treatment for ovarian cancer and uterine cancer.[29]

Reflecting later on his years in Honolulu, Obama wrote: "The opportunity that Hawaii offered – to experience a variety of cultures in a climate of mutual respect – became an integral part of my world view, and a basis for the values that I hold most dear."[30] Obama has also written and talked about using alcohol, marijuana, and cocaine during his teenage years to "push questions of who I was out of my mind".[31] Obama was also a member of the "choom gang", a self-named group of friends that spent time together and occasionally smoked marijuana.[

Press coverage of Trump in first month of office: 88 percent ‘hostile,’ says new study

By Jennifer Harper - The Washington Times - Thursday, March 2, 2017
There was no press honeymoon for President Trump during his first month in office. A meticulous new study by the Media Research Center finds that 88 percent of the broadcast news coverage of Mr. Trump and his team was “hostile” during the first 30 days of office.

The coverage was intense and plentiful. The study, which analyzed both tone and content for evening newscasts on ABC, NBC and CBS, found that the “Big Three” networks produced 16 hours of coverage on the new president and his staff. That is over half — 54 percent — of their total coverage for the month.

“Our measure of media tone excludes soundbites from identified partisans, focusing instead on tallying the evaluative statements made by reporters and the nonpartisan talking heads (experts and average citizens) included in their stories,” write Rich Noyes, research director for the conservative press watchdog, and fellow analyst Mike Ciandella.

“In their coverage of Trump’s first month, the networks crowded their stories with quotes from citizens angry about many of his policies, while providing relatively little airtime to Trump supporters.” the pair noted. “And the networks’ anchors and reporters often injected their own anti-Trump editorial tone into the coverage. ‘It has been a busy day for presidential statements divorced from reality,’ CBS Evening News anchor Scott Pelley snidely began his February 6 broadcast.

“A new American president is always a big story, but TV news is obsessed with the Trump administration — and not in a good way,” they observed.

The study found that Mr. Trump’s call for a temporary ban on travel from seven specific Middle Eastern nations drew the most negative coverage — over three hours. Other favorite showcases for negative coverage of Mr. Trump included the border war between the U.S. and Mexico, battle over his cabinet confirmation picks and the president’s “complicated relationship” with Russia.

Donald Trump rages about a Mark Cuban POTUS run
CNN has tapped the daughter of President Obama’s closest adviser to cover the Department of Justice, The Post has learned.

Laura Jarrett quietly joined the network in September as a reporter in its Washington bureau.

She came to CNN with no experience in journalism. But the Harvard-educated lawyer defended companies and individuals against the Justice Department as a private litigator in Chicago.

As Sessions Sidelines Himself, What's Next in Russia Inquiries?
Ari Melber and Alex Johnson
4 Hours Ago NBC NEWS

Attorney General Jeff Sessions speaks in front of a portrait of former U.S. President Andrew Jackson after being sworn-in in the Oval Office of the White House in Washington, U.S., February 9, 2017.
Democrats call for AG Sessions' resignation

Attorney General Jeff Sessions' recusal leaves any Justice Department investigation of alleged Russian election interference temporarily in the hands of a prosecutor promoted by Barack Obama.

Sessions on Thursday stepped aside from taking any role in federal inquiries into Donald Trump's presidential campaign, including whether officials or surrogates had improper contacts with the Russians. Sessions had a meeting last year in his office with Sergey Kislyak, the Russian ambassador to the United States, which he said was unrelated to the campaign.

That means it's the job of Acting Deputy Attorney General Dana Boente to oversee any investigations related to the presidential campaigns by the FBI or Justice Department attorneys.

Boente — whom Obama promoted to U.S. attorney in Alexandria, Virginia, in 2015 — would give up that authority when and if a permanent deputy is confirmed. The White House has nominated the U.S. attorney in Baltimore, Rod Rosenstein, a Republican veteran of George W. Bush's administration, to the position. His confirmation hearing is scheduled for Tuesday.

Beyond that, the course of any investigation is unclear, and several important questions can't yet be answered.

One of them is what Sessions' announcement actually means.

Russian Ambassador Visited Obama at the White House 22 Times

With Democrats and their aides in the media insisting that even daring to meet with a Russian official is somehow a fireable offense, a look at visitor logs of the White House during Barack Obama’s presidency reveals Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak visited Obama or his operatives at least 22 times.
The visitor logs, which were put online for all to see, show that between 2009 and 2016, Ambassador Kislyak was a frequent visitor to the White House, the Daily Caller reported.

In fact, the visitor logs document that Russian officials met with Obama’s senior advisor, John Holdren, at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. The logs show that others in the meeting were Marina W. Gross, Alexander Ermolaev, Alexey Lopatin, Vyacheslav Balakirev and Sergey Sarazhinskiy.

Ambassador Kislyak met with several of Obama’s top aides including National Security Council member Gary Samore, terrorism advisor Robert Malley, economic advisor Lawrence Summers, trade representative Michael Froman, and John Holdren.

Kislyak also visited the White House during several holiday events and other such meetings.

Since the left’s accusations against U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions, a growing group of other Democrat leaders have also been revealed as having “met with Russians.”

Even as she attacked Sessions, Missouri’s Democrat Senator Claire McCaskill insisted she never met with any Russians, but it was later discovered that she talked about meeting Russian officials on her own Twitter feed.

Senator Joe Manchin (D, WV), also noted that he met with Russian officials but noted that he did so while performing his duties as a Senator, just like Sessions had. Indeed, Manchin said just about every Senator has met with Russian officials.

By Thursday afternoon internet sleuths had found at least 30 Democrat Senators who had meetings with Russian officials.
