The plan is simple and time-tested—China’s Great Wall did it’s job, so did Hadrian’s Wall in Roman Britain—and yet it’s come under fire from the mainstream media. They claim that the wall will be prohibitively expensive, that illegal immigrants contribute to America’s economy (so there’s no reason to deport them), and that the wall won’t work. They’re factually wrong on all accounts—let’s look at the numbers. How Much Will Trump’s Wall Cost? $21.6 Billion. The first question we must address is very straightforward: how much would it cost to build a wall along the Mexican border? We don’t know for sure (construction costs rarely align with initial estimates), but we have a few good estimates. Senate leader Mitch McConnell said Congress estimates the wall will cost $15 billion at most—he said it would likely fall within a range of $12 to $15 billion. However, according to more recent information acquired by Reuters, the border wall will cost $21.6 billion, and will take roughly 3.5 years to build. This is according to a document from the Department of Homeland Security. It’s probably our best current estimate, and this article will proceed under using this cost assumption. On the high end (which can’t be totally discounted, given the nature of construction projects), the left-wing advocacy group cum “newspaper” the Huffington Post said the wall would cost roughly $40 billion. Their evidence is based on a study done by MIT (although their assumptions about the size and building materials may be why the projection is so high). On the low end, Pew Research estimates that the number of illegal immigrants in the US is roughly 11.1 million—this number tracks fairly closely with official government figures. On the high end, estimates peg the number of illegal aliens in the US at roughly 30 million people. This number has been proposed by conservative author Ann Coulter, who based the figure off banking and remittance payment records, government service demand, and migration projections from ICE. Frankly, I think the math makes much more sense with the high estimate, but in the interests of neutrality, this article goes with the low estimate (11.1 million). The Annual Cost Of Illegal Immigration In America: $148.3 Billion Illegal immigrants are expensive, despite what open-borders and open-market activist groups like the Cato Institute think. Not only do illegal aliens cost the government far more far more than they pay in tax, but they increase competition for work, which drives wages down and causes unemployment for citizens who can’t work for $2 an hour (due to obvious legal impediments). There are 3 basic types of costs I included in this estimate. 1. Federal Expenses: $31.9 Billion Expenses incurred at the federal level total $28.6 billion, according to the FAIR report. This number includes things like educational subsidies ($2.1 billion), healthcare costs ($5.9 billion, of which $750 goes to Obamacare subsidies), and justice costs etc. 2. State & Local Costs: $93.3 Billion This category includes a much broader range of expenses which I won’t go into here. Again, you can get a sense of what this looks like by reading my cost analysis on California. Once adjusted for inflation, as per the Bureau of Labor Statistics calculator, the US government spends roughly $125.2 billion per year on illegal immigrants. This is slightly mitigated by the fact that migrants contribute $14.9 billion in federal, state, and local taxes (inflation-adjusted). 3. Remittances: $38 Billion The final major category are remittances (money transferred from someone working in the US to their family abroad). For this calculation, I assume that remittances are being sent by first generation immigrants (legal or illegal), and that they are equally likely to remit. I include remittances in my calculation because it’s a financial drain on the country—the money evaporates from the economy, never to be spent domestically or support local businesses. According to Pew Research America lost $133.6 billion in remittances in 2015—$136.9 billion when adjusted for inflation. Given that there are 40 million foreign-born American citizens, and roughly 11.1 million illegal immigrants (again, according to Pew), this means there are 51.1 million people sending remittances. Given this ratio, we can guess that illegal immigrants send $38 billion from America every single year. Of course, the wall wouldn’t impact illegals from a different continent who overstayed their visas, but when combined with reinvigorated border security, it would certainly help staunch the bleeding. When all is accounted for, illegal immigration costs America $148.3 billion per year. “But We Need Illegal Immigration To Grow The Economy” Some argue that we need illegal immigration to grow the economy and maintain our quality of life. They’re wrong. Why? It’s simply untrue. Just look at places like Japan. Japan has very little immigration, and yet is able to maintain its high standard of living by investing in better technology, and becoming more efficient. They can still afford their morning cup of coffee, don’t worry. Economies grow, and become more prosperous, when they become more productive—increasing the population my expand the economy, but it doesn’t necessarily make people better off (which is the whole point).If anything, cheap labor (which at this point is starting to resemble a serf class) is undermining our need to invest in better technology, which is stunting our long run economic growth. And as I’ve mentioned, it’s also distorting our labor market by depressing wages and creating artificial unemployment. The only people that benefit are the rich. The final question is whether or not Trump’s wall with Mexico will work, because if it doesn’t, the whole argument is pointless. Of course it will work: it worked for the East Germans (Berlin Wall), for the Hungarians, and for the Israelis—say what you want about Netanyahu, he knows how to build a wall. It’s simple, walls always work. The evidence for this is overwhelming. I won’t spoon-feed it to you, but here’s a starting point. A sturdy wall, combined with competent border patrols is 90-99% effective. What this means is that Donald Trump’s wall is a good investment. It will help ensure that once illegal immigrants (particularly criminals) are deported, they won’t be coming back. This will save us a ton of money in the long run. Illegal aliens are costing this country $148.3 billion every single year. If we can even cut that down by a third, the wall’s more than paid for itself in a year. Build the wall. On March 22, 2017, ICE officers determined that Diaz Escobedo had an outstanding arrest warrant for a probation violation related to this conviction. Consequently, Diaz Escobedo was transferred to the Denton County Jail. ICE placed an immigration detainer on him so that he will be transferred to ICE custody following disposition of his criminal charges,” the press release read. “Marquez Linares was deported Dec. 16, 2007. He illegally re-entered the United States sometime after being deported, which is a felony. Marquez Linares is currently in ICE custody pending his removal to Mexico,” it added. Liberals believe in using law enforcement measures to deal with terrorism, which means that they feel we should allow terrorists to train, plan, and actually attempt to kill Americans before we try to arrest them — as if you can just send the police around to pick up a terrorist mastermind hiding in Iran or the wilds of Pakistan. 5) Conservatives, but not necessarily Republicans (which is unfortunate), believe it’s vitally important to the future of the country to reduce the size of government, keep taxes low, balance the budget, and get this country out of debt. Liberals, and Democrats for that matter, believe in big government, high taxes, and they have never met a new spending program they didn’t like, whether we will have to go into debt to pay for it or not. 4) Conservatives believe that government, by its very nature, tends to be inefficient, incompetent, wasteful, and power hungry. That’s why we believe that the government that governs least, governs best. Liberals think that the solution to every problem is another government program. Even when those new programs create new problems, often worse than the ones that were being fixed in the first place, the solution is always….you guessed it, another government program. 3) Conservatives are patriotic, believe that America is a great nation, and are primarily interested in looking out for the good of the country. That’s why we believe in “American exceptionalism” and “America first.” Liberals are internationalists who are more concerned about what Europeans think of us and staying in the good graces of the corrupt bureaucrats who control the UN than looking out for the best interests of this nation. 2) Conservatives, most of them anyway, believe in God and think that the Constitution has been twisted by liberal judges to illegitimately try to purge Christianity from the public square. We also believe, most of us anyway, that this country has been successful in large part because it is a good, Christian nation and if our country ever turns away from the Lord, it will cease to prosper. Liberals, most of them anyway, are hostile to Christianity. That’s why, whether you’re talking about a school play at Christmas time, a judge putting the Ten Commandments on the wall of his court, or a store employee saying “Merry Christmas” instead of “Happy Holidays,” liberals are dedicated to driving reminders of Christianity from polite society. 1) Conservatives believe in pursuing policies because they’re pragmatic and because they work. Liberals believe in pursuing policies because they’re “nice” and make them feel good. Whether the policies they’re advocating actually work or not is of secondary importance to them.

At the time I opined that terrorism was a rather special set of circumstances which might allow for such an action. This week we’ve received news that a similar case has been handled (through a plea bargain agreement) which produced a productive result. It involves a rather high profile “activist” from the ranks of the Palestinians, one Rasmea Odeh. You may recall her as a leading figure in the highly vaunted “women’s march on Washington” shortly after President Trump’s election. It turns out that Ms. Odeh is a convicted terrorist who had previously been handled by the Israeli courts before coming to the United States. She’s not new on the progressive scene around here and has been lionized by liberal activists in the past. For one example, after she first came under the scrutiny of American law enforcement and faced arrest in 2015, Marc Lamont took to the pages of the Huffington Post to explain why everyone should stand with her during those proceedings. In Detroit in November 2014, Odeh was convicted and sentenced to 18 months in prison as well as deportation from the U.S. But she was reportedly not allowed to call the conviction by the Israelis in Palestine unlawful, or testify about the torture and rape. It seems she was not allowed a full and fair trial. This is why Odeh is appealing the conviction, and why I am supporting her. And I am not alone. Her case has become a cause celebre, and a campaign has been established for her defense, building support from over 50 community, faith, labor, anti-war, Palestine support and other organizations across the country. No matter what happened in Israel, Odeh was already in violation of the law here in the United States when she was originally apprehended.She lied on her application for citizenship about being a previously convicted terrorist. How she wound up taking a prominent place at the women’s march remains a mystery to some of us, but now the case has been settled. She’s not only to be sent packing, but will be stripped of her US citizenship to prevent a repeat of these events. (Heat Street) A convicted Palestinian terrorist and a key figure of the recent Women’s March will be deported from the United States after accepting a plea bargain that allows her to escape a prison sentence. Rasmea Odeh will be stripped of her U.S citizenship and forced to leave the country and return to Jordan after failing to disclose to immigration authorities that she had been imprisoned in Israel for committing two terror attacks. As part of her plea bargain, however, Odeh won’t have to spend time in U.S prison or detention, according to a statement on Thursday by the Rasmea Defense Committee. There’s two sides to this “controversy” and I can legitimately understand both of them. On the one hand, it sounds as if a plea deal has been struck which allows Odeh to “get off easy.” Having been found guilty of various violations while she was technically a United States citizen, it might grind some folks the wrong way to see her allowed to board a plane and head on out of the country and back to her homeland without doing any time. But by the same token, the fraudulently gained right of US Citizenship (which is arguably worth more than her own weight in gold) is being stripped away and she no longer will be afforded the protections which American citizens enjoy. Nor will she be able to freely come and go as she pleases across our borders. Is that really such a bad deal? While I can understand the annoyance some may feel at reading of her release, what’s truly the bigger punishment? Being temporarily deprived of your liberty here in the United States only to later be released, or to be forever deprived of the rights and privileges of American citizenship? I’m not discounting the feelings of those who think she’s being let off the hook, but in the long run she is paying a much stiffer price. Or at least that’s how I’m reading the cards here.

Taylor Griggs writes in the Daily Emerald, the school paper at the University of Oregon, that "The reclamation of sexual objectification and historically objectifying words is a cisgender white woman’s game," whatever that means. And she quotes someone named Marie Solis, who wrote a piece titled, How the Women's March's 'genital-based' feminism isolated the transgender community. In the piece, Solis said that "pssy hats set the tone for a march that would focus acutely on genitalia at the expense of the transgender community. Signs like ‘Pssy power,’ ‘Viva la vulva’ and ‘Pssy grabs back’ all sent a clear and oppressive message to trans women, especially: having a vagina is essential for womanhood." Yes, the feminist is objecting to the use of pssy hats for the poor "women" who don't have, well, those. An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth To Power Trailer (2017) Official - Paramount Pictures By: Aaron Bandler March 29, 2017 Former Vice President Al Gore will soon be resuming his preaching of fire and brimstone in a sequel to An Inconvenient Truth. The sequel, titled An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth To Power, will be shown in theaters on July 28. The trailer shows President Donald Trump downplaying climate change and pledging to cut back on funding for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and then Gore animatedly telling audiences of their need to fight against climate change. The inconvenient truth about An Inconvenient Truth is that a judge – despite thinking that overall the film made a "powerful" argument that man-made climate change needs to be addressed – ruled in Britain that the film can only be shown in schools if students are aware of the nine major lies in the movie. Here are those nine lies, as reported by the UK Telegraph. 1. The melting of Greenland or West Antarctica would soon cause sea levels to increase as much as 20 feet. The judge ruled that the science suggests that Gore's prediction could happen in over a thousand years, but not in the "near future," as Gore claimed in the movie. It has been over a decade since An Inconvenient Truth came out and there is still ice in Greenland; there has also been little change in Antarctica's ice levels in the past 100 years. Sea level rises have also temporarily slowed by 20 percent; as a whole, sea levels have typically risen by roughly one to three millimeters per year, which is not abnormal. None of these facts have stopped Gore and his supporters from claiming that Gore was proven correct on this point due to Hurricane Sandy. But there is no evidence that climate change caused the storm: Even The Washington Post admitted, “Climate change does not cause storms and did not cause Superstorm Sandy. The historic record shows violent storms, some even more severe than Sandy, have struck the Northeast repeatedly.” The article quoted multiple scientists who disputed such attempts to place blame on “climate change.” As for climate change-induced sea level rise, the Post said there had been roughly 6 to 8 inches of increase which “somewhat worsened the coastal flooding.” Climatologist Dr. John Christy of the University of Alabama Huntsville said, “Hurricane Sandy was a minimal hurricane. So, it is in no way indicative of a rising trend in hurricanes that might be attributed to global warming.” In addition, Colorado State University researchers William Gray and Phil Klotzbach told National Geographic that human activity on the formation and intensity of Atlantic hurricanes “is likely to be negligible.” 2. Pacific atolls in New Zealand had to be evacuated as a result of climate change. The judge ruled that there was no evidence to substantiate this claim; in fact, according to National Geographic, "reef islands change shape and move around in response to shifting sediments" and "many of them are growing in size, not shrinking, as sea level inches upward." 3. The Ocean Conveyor would be shut down entirely. The judge pointed to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) as evidence to the contrary, as they concluded that the conveyor could possibly slow down but it was "unlikely" to shut down altogether. In 2015, NASA concluded that data revealed that not only was there "no significant slowing over the past 15 years," it "may have even sped up slightly in the recent past." 4. Gore presented two graphs that he claimed showed "an exact fit" that carbon dioxide resulted in higher temperatures. The judge concluded that while there is scientific evidence that carbon dioxide results in higher temperatures, the graphs Gore used in the film do not show "an exact fit." In fact, former meteorologist Brian Sussman pointed out that the graphs in the film show the opposite – higher levels of carbon dioxide came after higher temperature levels. Perhaps that's why the graphs are only shown briefly in the film. 5. Mt. Kilimanjaro would no longer have snow in less than ten years. At the time, the judge ruled that there was nothing linking the decline in snow on the mountain to climate change. In 2014 ecologists concluded that "preliminary findings show that the ice is nowhere near melting" and that while snow levels have declined, "we are comfortable that its total melt will not happen in the near future." 6. Lake Chad's water levels shrank due to climate change. The judge noted that Lake Chad's water levels were due to "other factors, such as population increase and over-grazing, and regional climate variability." The late Winston Churchill actually provided an explanation for Lake Chad's declining water levels in his 1899 book, writing, "even Lake Chad, into which the Shari flows, appears to be leaking through some subterranean exit, and is rapidly changing from a lake into an immense swamp." 7. Hurricane Katrina resulted from climate change. The judge ruled that there was no evidence to support that assertion. Here's more from The Blaze: Now, Gore was partly right: damage to New Orleans was man-made. It was caused by a dire neglect of the levees protecting the city. And their improvement might not be enough to withstand another Katrina. As for Katrina being the new norm, Gore is wrong once more. No F3+ hurricane has landed on U.S. soil since Wilma in October 2005, the longest such “drought” ever recorded. Have Obama’s actions on climate helped? Or was there no problem in the first place? 8. Climate change is killing the polar bears. Gore claimed that polar bears were drowning because they were unable to find ice, but the judge couldn't find any evidence to support this assertion. The polar bear population has actually increased from 20,000 to 25,000 bears in 2005 to 22,633 to 32,257 bears in 2016. 9. Climate change was one of the factors causing the bleaching of coral reefs. The judge determined that it was hard to separate the impact of climate change on reef bleaching from other factors, such as pollution. However, there is evidence to suggest that when left on their own, reefs tend to bounce back from bleaching naturally. Those are the nine biggest lies. Since they were so egregious, even a judge sympathetic to the climate change argument ruled students needed to be alerted. It's also worth noting that although Gore claimed that there would be more frequent heatwaves and higher intensity storms, according to The Daily Caller, the recent pause in warming and IPCC data on storms prove Gore wrong on both counts. Gore also predicted that there would no longer be any ice in the Arctic Ocean by 2014, a prediction that has also been way off. By now, if Gore were correct, the planet would be at "a point of no return," yet the world is still here and there are no signs of Armageddon springing from climate change. Given the lies and wildly inaccurate predictions from his first film, why should Gore's sequel be taken seriously at all?

EPA sidestepped decision to tighten standards for lead levels, leaving communities adrift. Chelsea of course was not happy: Chelsea Clinton is after all a reliable critic of the administration. The problem is she here is not criticizing the Trump administration, but the Obama one. As reported by Twitchy, had she clicked on the link before she tweeted in response to it, she would have realized it. The link goes to Statnews, which reported that During the last two years of the Obama administration, staff at the Environmental Protection Agency assured Bryant and local officials in other communities nationwide that they would soon issue new, more stringent guidelines for assessing the risk of lead contamination in soil. Those guidelines were expected by many to lower the threshold deemed dangerous for children and compel owners of contaminated properties to fund cleanup efforts. The effort was aimed at cutting the allowable level of lead at some of the nation’s most contaminated waste sites in half. However... But in the final days of the Obama administration, the EPA instead issued an internal memo — obtained by STAT — that sidestepped the issue of a specific new threshold for acceptable lead levels. The agency provided only general guidance on the factors that should be used when determining whether cleanups are required. It did not, however, lower the threshold for soil cleanup to one that would translate into a blood level of 5 micrograms per deciliter, down from the current level of 10, as was expected. So either Chelsea deliberately went after the Obama administration for ‘sidestepping decision to tighten standards for lead levels,’ doubtful for a budding Democratic politician. Or Chelsea thought she was attacking Trump and snared poor Obama instead.

Atlanta Takes Two Major Hits, State of Emergency Declared Keely SharpMarch 31, 2017 While everyone is freaking out about the road collapsing in Atlanta, they don’t know about what else was happening as well! A man walked into the Atlanta U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission with red mercury, which is used to make nuclear bombs. The road sounds like a distraction to me! I-85 is a major roadway in Atlanta, with heavy traffic daily. On Thursday, a large portion of the road collapsed during rush hour, and caught on fire. Terrorism has not yet been ruled out as the cause, at time of this publication. The fire, which is thought to have been started from underneath and burned through the steel, which caused the collapse, can be seen from miles away! The fire was so hot that one driver claimed that she could feel the scorching heat THROUGH the window of her vehicle! She said, “I felt the fire touching me through my window, I heard a snap or a crackle noise … I saw the flames rising.” This is such a major road, that Georgia’s governor has issued a state of emergency, and schools in the area will be closed tomorrow. Since this happened during rush hour, redirecting people was a nightmare. One woman stuck in traffic was even in labor with twins! As if that was not enough, a lesser covered story was also developing. A man from Africa walked into the Region 2 location of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, carrying red mercury, which is used in nuclear bombs. This caused roads in downtown Atlanta to also shut down. AJC reports: “We received a call regarding a male coming into the facility carrying red mercury from Africa,” Atlanta police Officer Stephanie Brown said. “We are still gathering details on the call.” Parts of Peachtree Street, Peachtree Center Avenue and Courtland Street have been closed and officers are redirecting traffic. Homeland security, a bomb squad, fire trucks, and a hazmat team were on scene of the investigation. So was the road a cover up? Are the two incidents linked? Or is this all just a coincidence? The letter sent to publisher Neil Patel by Podesta’s counsel, Marc Elias, singles out a March 26 article titled, “EXCLUSIVE: John Podesta May Have Violated Federal Law By Not Disclosing 75,000 Stock Shares.” In it, reporter Richard Pollock wrote that Podesta “may have violated federal law by failing to disclose the receipt of 75,000 shares of stock from a Kremlin-financed company when he joined the Obama White House in 2014.” Elias said the article is “as you know, entirely false.” He said that Podesta did nothing wrong, despite numerous assertions in the article indicating otherwise. The letter demands the Daily Caller “immediately cease publication of these false and libelous claims.” It also demands that a correction to the story be published, clarifying that Podesta met his financial obligations. In a tweet posted late Wednesday, Podesta shared the letter and took a shot at President Trump. "False stories about me can't cover up Trump's growing Russia problem," he said. The Daily Caller's article is still live at this time without any corrections. An issue Podesta and his legal team might run into, the Washington Examiner's Alex Pappas points out, is that the letter was sent to the wrong address.

Yes, that would be the perfect explanation for Hillary’s friend. Soros was associated with top liberal groups in the country, and he funded the anti-Trump riots that broke right after President Donald Trump was elected. But, something else caught our eye. Although George Soros mothers liberals, he funded several Republicans as well. That’s pretty shocking, because we’d never even imagine that Republicans can have something to do with Soros. Evidence shows that last year, six Republicans received tens of thousands of dollars from Soros Fund Management. Is it a coincidence that these are the very same people who criticize President Trump all the time: Florida Senator Marco Rubio received $2,700 from executives at the Soros Fund Management. Although Rubio tends to switch sides, he criticized Obama during the presidential elections. Speaker Paul Ryan got the highest amount of them all. His $10,800 only confirmed the rumors, and now we know why he was so vocal against President Trump. John McCain got $2,500. He cashed additional $1,000 from Soros Fund Management during Obama’s time in office. We all know that McCain doesn’t quite like President Trump, and he’s been doing everything to take him down.
